Delta State University is a small college that offers many educational opportunities to its students unavailable in Mississippi. Delta State prides themselves on being highly educated and diverse. While this is great there is a big issue. The campus isn't active as far as clubs and school events. There are many different clubs on campus but they aren't active. Even the SGA, student government association isn't as active as they should be. I think this impacts the students motivation to interact with others on campus leading them to engage in questionable activities.

The people involved with the administration at Delta State University have been extremely helpful. If there is ever a problem ranging from offices of the registrar, admissions, or foundations, they have been extremely determined to get me in a comfortable position since I decided to start graduate school over Christmas break. The people that work here truly care about you and want to make sure that you your account is handled personally if any problems do occur. It has been a huge blessing to start graduate school here at Delta State University! I have attended another University where some of the employees on campus did not care about the issues you were having and would simply tell you to speak to another department so that particular person would not have to deal with it. This is not the case at Delta State as they know each other in their respective departments and make sure to lead you to the correct source to take care of any issues!

There are lots of opportunities to be sought out. Delta State tries to engage student life as much as possible. It is very beneficial when people participate. So, if you decide to choose Delta State, make sure you come out of your room at least a few times and see what the campus has to offer.

I love Delta State. I came out of a community college and did not live in the dorms but at home and i came to love being in the dorms, it also helped that my best friend is my roommate. The only complaint I have is how information gets around about events that are scheduled for students but it's been an amazing school and I cannot wait to begin my second semester.

Going to school here at Delta State has been the best thing I've ever done for myself. The school is a small community in itself, and it's in a small town. Cleveland is a great place to raise a family and start a career. The school doesn't have much money, but the money they do have goes straight to the students and the buildings' improvement.

  11. What kind of person should not attend this school?

A person who is not serious about his education should not attend Delta State University. The teachers, counselors, and all staff are here to help in anyway they can, but you must first show a true interest in learning and achieving your best . This school is not one to pass you on just because you came and made an appearance. Many are there to help and encourage, but you are there to get an education and for this reason Delta State University is for the pursuer.

  12. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Often so much is assumed, for example, that we know how to use blackboard or the internet to research or to upload our papers. The technology is going rapidly and often we are stuck in our own little corner of the world and don't know how to do some of these things. There are computer labs, however, there may not be someone there who knows specifically what we need. I think if teachers assign work that must be completed via computers, they must have lab time with the class to assist.
