I wish I had known that Denison students typically work hard, but play harder. There is A LOT of partying that goes on at Denison, and way too much drinking. I like partying, but I'm not a party animal, and I do wish I'd have known that beforehand. Also, the demographic at Denison can be a little obnoxious-- a huge number of white, wealthy, preppy lax bros and barbies. Of course, there are a lot of awesome people, too, but be prepared to deal with the snotty ones!
I would liked to have known that if you have not taken AP Chem or AP Bio, those courses will be extremely difficult at this school.
Nothing - I felt very prepared
The amount of focus it takes to do well in class and how to properly study for tests.
That the theatre facilities aren't great, even though the professors are.
My mother, as many parents do, led the search for the best college out there for me. She helped me find Denison, and of course as a stereotypical stressed out High School senior, I let her do most of the work for me. I wish I would have done a bit more research on the colleges in which I was accepted. Denison turned out to be great and I got extremely lucky. However, I was stunned by the student dynamic. Before Denison, I didn't know what "prepy" was. In short, I wish I knew more about that dynamic.
how awesome it is
