I love it! Denver School of Nursing has a cozy family-like atmosphere even before you start. Admin always keeps their doors open and responds to e-mails ASAP. Lots of students actually spend lunch in a professor's office asking questions and learning. There is no greek life I'm aware of and no on campus housing. Living in Denver is expensive but also beautiful and full of interesting things to do.
My overall opinion is that the location of the College is horrible and it does not provide nearly enough space for its students. We pay over $50,000 and we aren't provided with a parking structure and we students cannot afford the transportation. I know that the simulation labs are great for us to learn with the expensive robots, but we should be provided with more parking for what we students pay.

First and probable the most important, learn how to manage your time. You will want to have fun (party), go to classes, and maybe even work, it will be essential to know your limits and learn how to do everything and be successful. For the first couple years if you can afford it, don't work, or if you must find something you enjoy and if needed can allow you some study time. Stay away from early morning classes at least for the first year (trust me 10am comes really early and anything before that is not worth it). Use the tools available to you on campus including an advisor, financial aid, etc. Find at least one good professor you can use as a mentor not just for school but for life. College is about discovering who and what type of person you will be, a good mentor can help you in more ways than you can imagine, plus it gives you a lifelong friend. Lastly have fun! Take the time to try something new and different, that you normally wouldn't even consider. It's in those moments you find out how to live and maybe even love.
Any college or university will be expensive, however when looking at private education be prepared for the price tag that goes with it. This school is expensive but well worth it for the education you receive.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
