I really love this school definitely for art and animation! I improved so much in the past year, freshman year. This school does have a large workload especially for the art portion. They have computer labs with a lot of cool features and a designated IT team for students and staff available when the campus is open. The campus is open does not close til midnight so you have plenty of time to use the campus. The only thing I was frustrated with is the buses that go on that route. They stop transit at 6 pm and some classes end until 7 pm. There are transit cars but limited to one transit center. So beware.

Jaxon

It's a very nerdy school full of nerd culture. While you will get to play some video games it will be very difficult academically so don't expect that to be the main way you spend your day

Nelida

It's a good College and a lot of students, TA, and teachers will help you if you ask for help. The work load may be a lot at times, but it's to test you to see if this is what you want to do when you graduate.

Joshua

Some of the class sizes aren't good for the material being taught. The curriculum is always changing, which is both good and bad.

DigiPen Institute of Technology FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at DigiPen Institute of Technology?

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time and offer any advice to myself, it would be to take more time selecting a school, and not be pressured into making any decision that doesn’t feel right, because that nagging doubt will follow you. Take the time to investigate schools thoroughly, ask yourself about the kind of person you are, and how that fits with the reputation of the schools you are interested in. Do some research into what your major is good for, and decide if you could actually see yourself in those careers. Undecided? Think about jobs you’d love to have and find the major that leads there. Think about your hobbies/interests, how they would help you in a working world, and see if they lead you towards a major and school. If you pick something that doesn’t fit, you CAN start over, but you probably won’t want to. It may seem like a massive pressure to make such a decision so young, but you can do anything with the proper research and knowledge, so don’t shy away just because it seems like work. Life is work, being prepared is your greatest ally.

  5. What's unique about your campus?

Personally, I consider my school's atmosphere the best part about it. There is so much passion and hard-work crammed in one building, it is astounding. For starters, each day I listen to incredible adults that have all gone though the industry; their incredibly bright minds transfer over to the students and inspire us to learn. In addition the student's at DigiPen are there because they want to learn, this certainly shows in the classroom environment. I have spent countless nights at campus with my classmates, each student pushing the other to strive and work harder.
