We also provide a great location, with 300 some-odd days of sunshine, as well as close access to multiple National Parks, Las Vegas, and California. There are so many opportunities and chances to try new things and explore your world!

The city is small and the college doesn't pay much so all the Professors teach there because they want to be there and that makes the biggest difference between a college and a university.

Compared to the other schools I was looking at, Dixie is a really small school in a really quiet neighborhood. The classroom sizes are also way smaller than the other schools I was looking at. I am really glad i choose to go to Dixie because it is really close to Las Vegas, my home. The other schools I was looking at were really far away.

Full 4 year college with a small campus. A good variety of courses and instructors, a good staff of councelors and registration personel. It has a very friendly down to earth atmosphere and many tools, clubs, and support to assist in a students' success.

Great outdoor recreational opportunities

I have also attended the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College. The professors at Dixie State are very approachable and easy to work with if your having problems. They do not let you off the hook, don't get me wrong here. I feel like I am getting a quality education. The difference is that you can have discussions with them and are not afraid to ask for help or ask questions. I have always recieved answers to my questions.

It has a more personal feel in the classrooms between the students and professors.

It is a lot smaller than most of the schools that I was accepted to. It also has a very favorable climate as well as most of the students are religious.

It's not too large to get to know the professors and other students. The faculty is very personlized, friendly and helpful

My school was close to home, small, and friendly while still offering the education I needed.

The Communications department is probably the best in the western U.S.
