Dixie State University Top Questions

There are some professors at Dixie that you will want to avoid. While this is true at every college you go to, I have had several bad experiences with teachers who either couldn't teach, or were very prejudice.

The worst thing would have to be the same as the most frusterating thing, NO STUDENT PARTICIPATION. there are hardly any fun activities or stuff to do. hardly any one goes to the sport games! Also the counselors are not that great, some of them seem to not know what to do or how to help so it is hard to continue with life.

The cafeteria is too expensive. There are only about 7,000 students.

The testing center is way too small.

Mormonism, conservatism.

Sports. Dixie State was a phanominal junior college. With sports such as football, cross country, and some others. Ever since the school has transformed into a 4 year university, the athletic program has been on the edge of a breaking branch. Athletics at Dixie are not taken seriously and very poorly funned and cared for. Football is probably the most funded of all the ten sports at our lovely college, and when I say funded I mean chump change funding. The football field is like one big carpet waitin to blow away.

The Cafe food, because its not diverse for the many students we have.

The worst thing about my school is the testing center. The testing center is too small for how many students we have at Dixie.

It is not very culturaly diverse. Most students are white and I think that diversity is a very good thing,

The worst thing about my school is that the class sizes can be so small that you are often called upon during class! While at first it seems like a scary thing, it ends up not being so bad and I have found that I learn a lot more when I am being asked questions. The professor can also see where we are at by the way we answer thier questions!

I wish my school had a heavier focus on academics.

There are a fair amount of student who are less than motivated about life after college. I wish the sporting events were a little bit bigger.

The worst thing about Dixie is the number of students who don't really want to learn. Many just want a degree, but don't care to master the material.
