I don't know of any type of person that shouldn't attend this school. This school is very accepting of students of all ages, races, religion, and backgrounds. However, this school is quite conservative so extreme liberals would most likely feel out of place.
This is not an ivy-league school and doesn't have much prestige.
I feel that there really isn't a type of person who wouldn't benefit by going to this school. By undertaking the program, one matures through the process of team work, and self discipline.
The school is perfect for anyone that wants to gain an education.
Any person who is not serious about gleaning an education should not attend Dixie. There are so many different programs, and so many ways to accomodate people of different abilities, disabilities, and learning differentiations, that any person interested in persuing a degree would be able to attend. Also, persons interested in joining the Greek system should not attend Dixie, as our school is without traditional fraternities and sororities.
Someone that doesn't want to learn. Or someone that uses drugs or alcohal.
I feel that Dixie is an institution for students of every kind. Students should, of course look into whether or not their major is offered at Dixie because, due to the fact that it is still fairly new as a four-year institution, it is somewhat limited in majors offered. Students who are not going to school for any type of social experience should not attend Dixie. The friendly atmosphere is infecteous and there are so many fun things to do. Students who are considering transferring part way through their major might not like Dixie because of requirement differences.
This school is best for people who want to get thier generals and move on to another school.
