People that enjoy smaller setting where they can get to know everyone on some level. Students that are finically well off or are putting in alot of effort in school and in obtain scholarships. Student althlets. Honestly anyone can thrive at this school if the put in the time and efford to get here and maintain there grades
I'm only in the teaching program, but definitely anyone who wants to become a teacher! It's got an amazing teaching program. It's also private, so people should come expecting to pay a fair amount. Also, liberal people, because it's in a liberal part of California. People who don't mind going to school in the late afternoon/evening, because that's when all of my classes are so that we can all work during the day.
IF you are interested in nursing, biology or occupational therapy it is a good school.
Dominican University of California is not a large party school. If you are looking to go out to raging parties every weekend, then this is not the right fit for you. In my opinion, the ideal student is one that likes a small classroom setting, is very focused on their studies, and plans ahead for their future. There is a social life on campus; however, if you do not go out there and make friends or join clubs then it can seem like one does not exist.
Someone who likes a small university with small class sizes, who prefers a quieter and mellow environment, who is wealthy, who likes nature, who likes outdoor activities, who wants to major in any of the majors offered in this university
People who love nature, small classes, and community should attend Dominican University. The campus is real small so it's easy to meet new people. The campus is close to beautiful hiking trails and downtown San Rafael. A person who enjoys hiking, biking and small classes would love Dominican University. It is a place where anyone can thrive , grow and feel accepted.
Anyone can find a place to belong at Dominican. It is a small campus where everyone either knows you, or at least recognizes you. It is a private, Catholic school, but I was not a practicing Catholic when I attended, and I fit in just fine. There are many clubs and sports to participate in, both competitive and non-competitive. It is a place where your professors will get to know you, and where you will make friends. There is both nature, and city attractions nearby, something for everyone. It is a place to get to know yourself.
The kind of person who should attend this school is one who is serious about his or her education and who prefers having the opportunity to interface directly with their teachers and professors, rather than just a Teacher's Assistant. We don't have sororities or fraternities so someone interested in the Greek life wouldn't like it here. However, we do have numerous co-ed dorms and there are quite a few fun activities available for those who choose to live on campus.
One who likes small campus life surrounded by nature. The classes are small which is an easy way to meet friends. Going to the Students Union gatherings also helps one to meet new people and to be involved in the school community. This school has amazing teacher from all different backgrounds and their stories are beneficial to the learning.
A self-motivated, well-focused person who wants to get their degree and come away from college with a great experience during their college years. Someone that wants to make a difference in the world and not just wait for opportunities to come and goes out and finds the opportunities.
