What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year at Dominican University?

Before attending dominican University I wish I had known the significant differences between attending a public and privat university. Reason being, in the first semester I would have appreciated the position that I am in attending Dominican, therefore my grades would have been better.

I wish I knew how to control all of the freedom I was given. When you leave the house to go to college, you can basically do anything you want. No one is telling you what to do. You can stay up late, or sleep in between classes. I wish I could have known how to manage my time better when I first came to the school.

to take school more seriously and save enough money to pay for books and not to pull out loans, if i can't afford it then I probably should have considered a different school
