Tell us about your professors.

Rachel

I have been very fortunate, especially after hearing some of my friends horror stories, with having a great group of professors in my major. Sure, they are hard on us and give us a ton of work, but I will definitely come out of Drexel with 10x the work ethic I had when I came in. At times I think some expect a little too much, but that is college for you. All of my D&M professors have worked in the industry in one way or another, which is so important. They all know what they are talking about, they have been through it. They have all also, in my experience, been very accommodating and are always willing to help you if you have a problem.

Drexel University has some very intelligent, well regarded, professors that teach for the school. They most likely also complete research that is ground-breaking and pioneering in nature. Drexel’s professors are from other top universities. They enhance our education and advance their respective field. Speaking on behalf of the Chemical Engineering Department of the School of Engineering at Drexel, I am very pleased with my education and have my professors to thank. In nearly all of my classes, I have had professors that were energetic, enthusiastic, funny, caring, sincere, and dedicated to their students. They were determined to teach the material and do what they could to make sure their students learned and succeeded in the class. They offered many hours a week teaching and also spending office hours reviewing homework or a specific topic covered in class. Exams were fare and still challenged the student to better grasp the information. The professors themselves were young, and they kept the class relevant and current. I believe the strength of the faculty is a key asset to the University.
