One day I will never forget was the day our school was shutdown because a gunman was spotted near campus. I was in my biology class and my professor made us continue taking our exams even through the alarms and (perceived) imminent threat of death. After being stuck in that class for 90 minutes past when we usually get out, we were released after it was revealed that the gun the gunman was spotted with was actually an umbrella. A common joke after that day is that ECU stands for Everybody Carries Umbrellas.
