Overall I like ECU, it is just what I was looking for in a school. Some of my friends though have different opinions, but I think that has a lot to do with the special circumstances of starting college in a pandemic. I feel pretty safe on campus as I often see campus police patroling the area and the dorm requires keycard access to get in. I am excited to be working towards my degree and fully plan on graduating from East Central University.
I like that it is small and the education is really good, if not better than big schools.
The atmosphere is very calm and inviting. The professors are usually always available to help, whether it's in person or through email. The classroom sizes are very small, usually no more than 15 people per class. The course work is easy as long as you attend class every day and ask questions when needed. The overall feel is very welcoming and it's a great 4-year college for any new freshmen who may be a little unsure about college. They offer many different majors and elective classes that easily transfer over to other schools too.
I like the campus and the faculty at ECU. I would love to attend ECU this next fall 2017. It's a great community and the campus is nice.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for East Central University is 57%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
When picking a college, you want the student to feel safe. Picking a safe environment surrounding the campus is always a top priority. Next visit the campus, before attending, to see how big the classrooms are. I believe being in a classroom with about 20 to 30 students is better than being in a class of 100 at one time. Being in a small class helps the students with getting help with their homework if they need it. This is because the professors know the students by name, so the student feels more comfortable asking for help in a smaller environment compared to a large one.
Campus looks a little run down and out-dated. Needs a face lift. New windows, paint, and just minor cosmetics.I think the community should offer more support for college students such as, discounts at movies, resturants, and social activities. Community needs a social enviroment or night life fthat would appeal to students.
Any kind of person can attend this university. It is very diverse. I feel that anyone would feel comfortable in the university's learning environment.
The sports at East Central aren't very good. Don't come to this school if you like to go to sporting events. Also Ada is a small town and everything closes at about six every night.
Our school would most likely be best known for it's "small town" feel to it, and that all of the classes have less than 40 students, and East Central is very teacher-student friendly. So, us as students get a better education in that we can ask questions and we can get responses from our Professors.
My classmates are really helpful, fun, friendly, challenging, and just all around good people.
There is an excellent College of Education and Pyschology. The cost to attend ECU is relatively low and you recieve a good education if applied correctly.
The best thing about this school, is that it is small. It's very easy to make new friends and stuff like that. The classrooms are small as well. I love that they are small, because the professors know you by name and not by number.
I wish that I could have met my professors before enrolling in some of the classes to find out some of their learning styles. Also knowing how you learn best is very useful.
I don't know of anyone who should not attend here. It's a great school with wonderful academic and social opportunities for every walk of life! For its curriculum and opportunities, I would recommend it to anyone interested in a great college experience!
East Central has a welcoming environment and a hunger for education.
I brag that almost every professor has their masters or docorate and become more like friends then a teacher. They are more willing to help out students then other colleges seem to. There is just so much more interaction between professors and student then anywhere else. You get a greater quality education and for less money then those lager schools.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
96% of students attending East Central University receive some sort of financial aid. 40% were awarded federal grants. While 31% received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
