In my expereince my classmates are kind and always willing to help if you are willing to ask.
My classmates are diverse in every defintion of the word.
My classmates are very accepting and easy to get along with.
My classmates at Eastern Michigan are extremely unique and diverse in character, sexuality, gender, race, ethnicity, and culture.
My classmates are typically either really oppinonated and open in class lectures, or they are quiet and more resereved; it really just depends on the class I am taking at the time.
My classmates are very talkative and helpful.
There are many different ethnic groups and the LGBT community is extremely friendly. The school is very open to a diversity of people and it really gives you a great chance to socialize and become friends with a variety of different types of students. There is someone for every type of person out there to be friends with so it's hard not to find someone that you can hang out with. Also, the dress style is extremely relaxed at Eastern Michigan so you could go to class one morning in your pj's if you were too tired to put on actual clothes or you could go all dressed up,semi-formal, and no one with think anything different about it. You can also walk around the residence halls in slippers which is nice when you want to do laundry but don't want to put your shoes on!
most students at my school wear hats to class
My majority classmates are younger than me.
Our school is rich with heritage and pride. So many different types of people can flourish and interact just from walking class to class. Just in the parking lot you can meet- a black american from motown, an arab american from Dearborn, an Asian American from Troy, some country folk, an exchange student, an even a native american complaining about General Custer. As I have said prior, our school does such an excellent job of coming together and looking past socio-economic or racial boundaries! I think because Eastern is basically the cheaper alternative to University of Michigan we, the students, have embraced our differences and reap the benefits of attending a university with such diversity! Students really have a hungry for knowledge about our state government or spreading the optimism of diversity. We have black power organizations, Jewish fellowships, geeky zombie lovers, or simple Christian study groups, but they are all posting on the bulletin boards next to each other and they are all fighting for who spray paints the spirit rock each weekend!
I would describe the students at Eastern Michigan University as friendly. Most of us keep to ourselves if we don't know anyone but are willing to friend a classmate whenever the opportunity arises. We tend to group with students in the same program as us because they are in multiple classes with us and we start talking in those classes. If you ask someone on campus a question, they normally answer it politely. There are always going to be those people who don't like talking to strangers and act like they don't hear you, but it's not that hard to find someone willing to help. Like I have said before, there is a diverse group of students with diverse personalities at Eastern. Jocks, geeks, teachers, nurses, religious, non-religious, you name it we have it! However, for the most part, we all seem to get along and come together as a school.
Eastern's campus is so diverse that I'm sure that there is someone for everyone. There's a group of eco-friendly kids on campus who go shoeless and ride bikes everywhere. Every religion is represented and 48 states too. As a Black, Christian student on campus, I have found many friends that I can identify with and many other friends that are nothing like me, but just as great.
Here at EMU, we are very open-minded and liberal towards ethnic, religious, sexual, and socio-economic identity. We have a very prominent LGBT community on campus as well as many groups dedicated to each of these categories. I don't believe that anyone would feel out of place at this University, because I see so many people from so many backgrounds and yet everyone is treated with the same respect. I don't think that it can be said that every EMU student shares one single quality other than we have Eagle Pride!
My classmates have been very freindly, helpfull, and encouraging.
My classmates are tactful and willing to put time into a group, so that all sudents will understand the work that is before us and will answer questions to the best of each ones knowledge to succesfully complete assignmnets and task in classes.
In my classes, I am surrounded by intelligent goal-driven people who value education.
The student body or Eastern Michigan is highly diversified and highly tolerant of alternative lifestyles.
My classmates are great student and friend
EMU has a very diverse student population. There are students from all over the country and the world at EMU. Overall, EMU has a pretty bright student population that works very hard in and outside the classroom. There is a large communter population on campus which gives it a mix of the traditional students and older students who may be working, raising families, etc. It wouldn't hurt for EMU to have more students staying on campus to help the campus life become more vibrant.
We worked hard together to reach our common goals.
My classmates are engaging and fun to interact with .
They are people and most of them are not very talkitive.
My classmates are independent of their studies and ready to graduate.
My classmates are enjoyable, fun, unbeleivably intellegent and really helpful.
My classmates are very diverse and come from all different places, they really add a lot to my college experience.
A wide variety of people are represented in my classes.
Ethnically divese and easy to communicate with and get along with.
My classmates are very conservative.
My classmates are practical and goal oriented.
my classmates at this universtiy range from being very outspoken and intelligent to being completely disinterested towards the subject of the course.
Open-minded, friendly, and down to earth.
classmates are there to learn. some become friends. most do not.
fun and entertaining, for the most part
My classmates are all unique, friendly, open, willing to learn, respectful and willing to help out others.
My classmates are very friendly towards each other.
My classmates are really diverse and friendly.
Classmates at Eastern Michigna University are all very friendly and helpful. Students always have a positive attitude and always are looking for ways to connect with one another.
There are people from all walks of life who find common bonds and get along very well, therefore making it a great environment.
The classmates I have met so far are very diverse, friendly, and academically motivated.
In big lecture classes the classmates are still and unsociable. In other smaller ones they are friendly and willing to talk and share notes. The classmates are very diverse, from their different backgrounds, and even age. I would say that one thing that describes most EMU students is that they are very down-to-earth, and practical, while still able to view things abstractly.
