Eastern Nazarene College Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about Eastern Nazarene College is the cost of their tuition, room and board, and all the other fees they tag on to your student bill, and they do not add on any additional financial aid for excellent academics or involvement in the student body; it is quite disheartening.

The only complaint regards the timing to schedule club meetings. Timing can be off in terms of club meetings. Faculty, staff, and professors willingly move along the students clubs. Some clubs will be formed and then disbanded. Other clubs go on a hiatus due to said issues, without anyone taking the lead to carry on the club. Some of the dates for meeting need to be pre-planned in order to flow with the students schedules or meet the time required. Other than this, there are few issues in the school.

The worst thing about ENC would have to be that they do not have central air conditioning in the dormrooms. With record temperatures here in the North East, we would benefit from having air conditioned dormrooms. This is really reaching for "the worst thing" as there is little to complain about here at ENC on or off campus.

The administration. No question about it. They make really poor decisions and avoid the issues really concerning the student body. I would say they are obstinate, oblivious, and ignorant to the issues and solutions that concern the school. They are leading this school, once prized for its diversity and excellent programs, straight down the road to ruin. Their leadership has led to a serious financial crisis, worsened by the slump in the economy and I feel that bumbling attempts to fix the issue are causing worse problems.
