In Eastern Oregon, there are opportunities for many students who have many different interests when it comes to their future careers. The college has a major focus on academics and helping each individual excel in their own field. Not to mention there's a smaller number of students in the lectures so the professors are able to help and aid each student with problems they have.
Overall Eastern Oregon University is an astonishing school and by far the best choice I made when choosing Universities to attend. One of the best things about EOU is the OTP program which stands for the Oregon Teacher Pathway program. It's a program that helps guide future teachers and provides them with a 4-year plan on how to graduate. I also enjoy how easy it is to get in contact with professors and staffing. EOU has even held many virtual events to keep students engaged. I am glad to say I choose the right University for me.
I love Eastern Oregon University because of their student to teacher ratio, you are able to actually be close with your professors and be able to work side by side with them on homework and projects. The services they offer like TRiO and tutoring are so helpful and they'll work around your schedule to help accommodate you and your academic needs to ensure that you are successful and graduate. Living on campus provides so much help and support from our RA faculty and they make sure that there isn't a dull moment in the residents halls.
They are a great school that has a multitude of opportunities for those that want to take advantage. Eastern's online program is what I have had to most experience with and it has been nothing but a success. After completing my undergraduate degree there it was an easy transition into the graduate program.

"Let's party!!! Let's go crazy wild, man!!!" Yeah, sure, it sounds fun...but is it really the best option? When it comes to your education, consider what is important. Will partying like a rockstar get you the degree you need to be successful in life? Carefully select a school for higher education that will fit your needs now, and help you excel in the professional world later. It can be difficult to distinguish between what you want and need in a college, so utilize your parents, friends, and relatives; it's likely that someone you know has been through it and can offter excellent insight to what makes a great college experience. Once you have chosen the college that fits your needs best, continuously remind yourself of the positive things that will come from hard work, dedication, and determination; remember to reward yourself for achieving greatness one grain at a time.
La Grande is a rural, agricultural community with a decidedly conservative worldview. There were a lot of rednecks in the bars on the weekends and it could get pretty sketchy sometimes. Winters were cold and long, but decent skiing is close by.
I attend all classes 100% online and have never actually been to the campus. The only negative experiences I've had is with some professors not being fully engaged in their online classes.
My school is best known for its distinguished academic programs.
The friendly atmosphere and the availablity of the professors to help you succeed. Classes are interesting and engaging and you learn lots of new material, and you are encouraged to learn about subjects outside of class. The professors are easy to get a hold of and ask questions and want you to learn and suceed. Many of the professors have a teaching assistant .
Eastern Oregon University is a friendly, loving and dedicated university, that only wants to best from their students, by ensure that they get all of the help that they need in order to have wonderful careers later on in their lives.
Very focused with specific goals in mind.
Not a self starter and someone who is unwilling to pursue planning education on their own.

Somebody that wants to receive a good education should attend this school. Somebody that enjoys smaller classes and constant interaction with professors would thrive at EOU. This school is great for Nursing students and Education students, but is also good for the Arts, the Sciences, and Business majors.
