My college is very outdoors oriented. Located on the water we have an incredible waterfront program where you can rent paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, learn how to sail, wake board, ect. We have a lot of sports too. Club sports are fun. A lot of classes, especially Marine Biology classes, go out onto the bay to collect samples and do labs. It's a very friendly environment too. I've always felt welcome and made so many friends that I know will be around for a long time.

This school wasn't the right pick for me, but that doesn't meant that you will hate it. I know reading negative comments can seem overwhelming but, honestly, you have to go to the school and make the choice yourself.

At Eckerd you become part of the family, whether you're into sports, going to the gym, hanging out with friends, getting drunk, or smoking pot. Everyone is accepted.

The small class sizes are great! It makes it very personal and easy to ask your professors questions. Even better, they want to help and answer those questions.
