I have absolutely loved my time at Etown. The professor are amazing and genuinely know and care about students in and outside of the classroom, People here are so nice and always willing to help out when you need something. Campus is extremely safe and being here feels like being part of a big family. I couldn't imagine spending my four years of undergrad anywhere else.

I think that Elizabethtown College has a lot to offer. Academically, Elizabethtown is an extremely strong school. I graduated from their social work department where I was able to acquire a variety of relevant work and volunteer experience. Professors were readily available, class sizes were small, and the classes were all fascinating. E-town also has a variety of campus social events which are fun to attend. There are also a lot of campus traditions which are very enjoyable. I highly recommend Elizabethtown to academically serious students who prefer to stay on campus and be in a small town environment.

Sierra

I think it is the perfect school or students that want a close relationship with the professors and want a close knitted friend group, because the college is so small, its perfect for that atmosphere. It also has a plethora of majors and minors so its really easy to major and minor for students that want to do more than just a major but not as much work as a double majoring. It is also in a cute little rural area.

Helen

Nice campus. Most classes are capped at 35 students. Friendly and approachable professors.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself to not bring nearly as much clothing with me. I would also tell myself to get over my shyness because that took me a while once I actually got to this school. Also, it's important to know that trusting my gut is a good idea: from taking classes to making decisions about social occassions, everything needs to be well-thought out, but a gut decision could mean the difference between taking a class that's at an appropriate level, or taking a class you'll actually enjoy being in.

The best thing may also be one of the worst. . . but you really recognize everyone, so it's very comfortable. It's a small and close knit environment. A group called SWEET- Students working to entertain E-Town also does a great job organizing live bands, comedians, movie nights, and dances for us on Sweet weekends, which usually are 4 or 5 times per semester. It's very easy to make friends!

  8. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

Elizabethtown is unique because it is a small school in a small town and yet has a huge impact on your life. The second you step on campus, you feel like it's your home and it takes every step possible to fullly accomodate its students. It has a great educational system, but it also provides numerous outlets to become very socially involved to help balance out the workload. While it is expensive, in my perspective, the four years of memories it will provide are well worth it.
