Large population of students from the Northeast The workload is demanding Not a lot of activities to do close to campus

I wish I had been a ble to spend a week on campus just to get a feel oof the school, because it's really impossible to tell if you're going to like a college based just on the brochures and tours. Talking to students helps, but you often hear only the good things, not the dealbreakers.
This school is everything I thought it would be.
I wish I had known all the oppurtunities I had when I was in high school so I could have used all of them.
That it rains all the time.
i wish i would've known more about the faculty
I wish I had known the lack of merit-based financial aid the school offers so that I could have purusued more merit-based aid prior to going to college.
How extensive the focus on general studies requirement is.
How much it would cost me
I wish I would have known how big greek life was at Elon.
The campus is a bubble. There is no diversity, and everyone is essentially the same. The people at Elon love to drink and party all the time, even at the risk of their own and others saftey. Everyone here cares about how they look way too much and not enough about real issues that the world is dealing with (war, starvation, enviornmental issues...). The students are very warm and welcoming, but if you dont love Vera Bradley, dont come.
The significant lack of socio-economic and ethinical diversity.
nothing
the lies told about diversity on campus
I wish that I had known how to better plan financial aid. With the present economy, more foresight would have been quite useful.
The student population is not very diverse at all. Not in regards to socioeconomic status, race, or religion. While personally, this doesn't really bother me (because the high school i went to was basically of the same composition), for students looking for a more diverse population, Elon probably isn't the right place.
I wish I knew that a car was necessary to go food shopping.
I wish I had known that Burlington is a rather small town without much to do. Many people drive to either Raleigh or Greensboro for entertainment. I wish that I had known that I was not under the control of my parents any longer.
How vital studying and hard work is to succeed.
I wish I would have known to hit the ground running academically. Instead, I took advantage of being out on my own for the first time and spent too much time socializing and having fun.
