Individuals who are interested in forming strong personal connections with peers and staff, are comfortable being in a city environment, and are focused on achieving their academic goals.
Someone best fit for this school is one who wants the small campus feel, while living in a large city. However, because there is so much to do in the city, this person has to be very school focused in order to stay on track with their education. And, don't be afraid to get involved; with all of the activities the school offers there are endless opportunities to succeed.
Anyone who is looking for a great sense of community and belonging would feel at home at this college. The school provides an excellent environment for learning, developing relationships, and personal growth. Academics is (as it should be) a strong focus of this school; nearly all else comes after this number one priority. The only thing held above academics is faith. That's not saying that people are required to believe the school's Catholicism, or participate in any religious services. This school is tolerant off all faiths. Overall, it is the perfect college campus in this country.
I attend a graduates and professionals program at my school. It is geared for working professionals who decide to go back to school. What most appealed to me about the school was the convenience. It is a flexible program that allows you to either have evening or weekend classes. You are in an accelerated program that only takes up one evening per week for three hours. They have several locations allowing more availability for the classes you are looking for. Another plus was the affiliation my job had with the school, making tuition reimbursement and applying for aid easier.
The kind of person who should attend this school should be outgoing, a self-starter, and open-minded. Emmanuel will challenge you to think outside of the box and live and interact with people unlike anyone you have ever met. The ability to adapt to these situations is crucial.
Someone interested in academic aspect of the college experience.
Someone that is looking for a small school in a big city. However, academics are important here so make sure you are willing to work otherwise this school will not work out for you. Professors and fellow students are always there though if you need the extra help.
