Reach your goals and try not give up just focus on yourself to work hard. Emmanuel college is a small school and it's a good experience because God is with us no matter what you're going through in your life. I wanted to be a teacher and teach kids and my dream is to become an amazing teacher.

Emmanuel College is a Christian-based private school. People come here to grow closer to God and earn a degree. Not to say, its entire student body consists of Christians. There are students from different cultures, ethnics, and religions. This supports better understanding of others with different backgrounds. Emmanuel might not be your college. One of the requirements is taking bible classes which the credits do not transfer to every school. Also, it's located on the outskirts of Athens; encompassing the entire city of Franklin Springs with little number stores near. If that displeases you, this isn't your place. However, the bible classes improve comprehension and research skills, and it looks good on an resume. The campus provides peace and tranquility often missed at big city universities. As a bonus, You form a relationship with the community since everyone's close by.

Over all I could say Emmanuel is a great college to go to. Sure there isn't that much availability to go off campus, but you find a way to make your own fun, especially if you join intermural sports. Another good fact about Emmanuel is for it's small campus. the college student body is made up of 800, so you'll start to make connections very fast in the first few weeks. I would say that Emmanuel is one of top choice for those who are still searching.

Allison

Emmanuel is a good place for certain people, and I believe the faculty and staff genuinely try and bridge the gap between those who "fit in" and those who do not due to the specific perimeters set up by the nature of the college. There are activities for everybody, and at least one extracurricular or club that fits each member of the EC family.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

True achievement is not charted in Grade Point Average. True achievement arises from stoking the fire within. It is this flame that guides our lives and enriches our spirit. As a young man you have two choices. First, you can choose to ignore your inner voice and pursue a path foreign to you. This path may be in business or marketing, and has provided happiness to others in the past. This scenario will provide little satisfaction and will leave your soul unceasingly yearning for more juice from life. The second choice is more favorable and yet exponentially more challenging. Discover what you want to do and then find a way to do it. This will require deep thought and reflection. In order to come to this conclusion you may be required to try new things. Try them. And while it may be true that your ultimate reward will not be measured in Grade Point Average or money in the bank, follow your dreams anyways. Doing so will provide enough fuel to keep your flame burning forever.
