There's no one who shouldn't attend this school! It's an exceptional school with a faculty that cares and knows you!

I honestly don't know how to answer this question. If you don't like a small town, then maybe Emory isn't for you, but for the most part, I haven't found anyone who shouldn't be there. There is something to do for everyone at Emory regardless of your background or preferences.

The type of person who should not attend this school are students who are not willing to learn and put all of their time and effort into their school work. Emory & Henry College is a place where education is a main priority and academics come first. It is also not for students who do not want to be active in student life. There are many different activities at Emory & Henry and students are able to gain a solid liberal arts education by becoming active in student life.

i feel that anyone can adjust to this kind of siting if they are willing for change. yes there isnt much around here, mostly cow pasture after cow pasture but you can always create your own fun and if you can do that, this is the place for you!

I believe Emory & Henry is a place for everyone. No student is turned away! Commuters, however, do have the disadvantage to the college--on campus students seem more welcome.

People who like to do things on campus, because there isn't a lot to do. And people who like to hide in their rooms. You have to get out and meet people, or it will be really lonely.

Emory and Henry is a small liberal arts school located in the town of Emory, Virginia. People who are looking for a school that is near a city or large suburb should not attend Emory and Henry College. Also, people who want to drift through college should not attend here. The professors genuinely care about your attendance in class and your grades. If they find that you are having trouble or are skipping class, they will find out where you have been, or what you need help with.

The type of person who should not attend is a student who is not willing to work hard to achieve good grades. Someone who does not like to get involved and does not like the feeling of a tight nit community.

If a person is not highly motivated and prepared to work hard, Emory and Henry College is not for them. Emory and Henry College has a very difficult curriculum and requires students that are truly interested in furthering their education and bettering themselves in multiple ways.

This school is great, but a person that loves the big city experience might not be right to go here. The college is set in a rural area that some might not be accustomed to or would rather be in a bigger place with more to do.

This school is very diverse and open to many types of people. Someone who is not interested in a small school should not come here because it is a very small school. You really get to know your professors and the people around you. If you are not a sociable person or someone who wants to get lost in the crowd, then this is not the place for you. We are a very diverse school and all types of races, backgrounds and religions are here. It is not an exclusive school, but it is small.
