I would tell myself to go to either a vocational school or 2 year community college instead of a 4 year university to start. I would tell myself to acquire a skill set that would allow me to make money on a flexible schedule while completing my years of college that would follow my certificate or associate degree. I would say to myself, participate in as much community service as possible whether on personal time or with a social group. I would remind the younger me that a post secondary education is so important when thinking about competition for jobs in any field; that the older you get, businesses expect you to have completed something in life and experience in dead end jobs will get you nowhere. I'd tell myself to stay focused and work hard so that later in life I can catch up on all the fun I feel I would miss out on.
