Evangel University is a wonderful place to grow academically as well as spiritually. There are so many ways to get involved in campus life; the sense of community and campus family make Evangel a great place to call home throughout your college years. The faculty are so invested in each and every student's life, and the class sizes are very ideal.
Evangel University is an excellent choice for any student looking at possible colleges. The professors are readily available to help each student with homework, but they also care deeply about the student themselves. The various professors offer guidance and encouragement for every student, no matter the issue. The environment is welcoming and full of a number of activities: athletics, clubs, events, and chapels. Each student immediately falls in love with the atmosphere once stepping onto the quad and basking in their beautiful surroundings.
If you're interested in going to a Christian school where you can learn more about God, grow in your faith, and enjoy learning for its own sake, then this would be a great school for you! A lot of people I've talked to who dislike the school have problems because they aren't interested in the spiritual stuff, or get discouraged that they have to take a lot of classes (mostly Bible classes) that don't directly relate to their major. However, the people are fantastic, most of the professors want to see you succeed and are available to make that happen, the dorm life is great, the cafeteria food is getting better (and sometimes it's really good!), and it's a small enough campus (with friendly enough people) that meeting people with similar passions shouldn't be too much of an issue. There are a fair number of rules (like curfew for freshmen, a dress code, and co-ed dorm times for <10hrs/week) that not everyone will agree with, but for the most part people care about you and want to see you succeed.
I would not recommend going to Evangel University. Their care for their students stems from more of a balanced reciprocity, and they care more about their ideology of the Christian faith more than they do their students. You are paying more than what you are getting out of it, and you are not trained to succeed outside of the classroom unless you are going to be involved in the ministry.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Evangel University is 75%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
No one can change the past, but what you do will affect your future, and the future of those around you as well. Trust your gut and the guidance of those around you. Don't be afraid. Meet people and you will make friends. Stop knowing and not doing. DO!
I believe the worst thing about my school is how expensive it is. Not everyone can afford to go Evangel without having to take a loan out, or getting a scholarship, and grant. Most students that go to Evangel are on some sort of financial aid. The way things are going right now in our economy, definetly makes it much harder for anyone to go to school and expect them to pay the money back after they are done. I believe that my school should lower the cost for tuition, so more students could afford to come here.
Evangel University has opportunities to put your practice into action no matter what the major is.
I consider the atmosphere of the school in general to be the best thing about it because there is so much positive energy. The classroom activity is fantastic. The professors truly work hard to make their classes productive and useful to the students' education. The professors' goal is to see their students succeed and they do a great job at it. The people you live with become your closest friends and they are nothing but encouraging and fun to be around. There is also an abundance of activities that relate to personal interests and even your career!
My Evangel classmates are very accepting and helpful in any situation.
any person who is wanting to grow both mentaly and spiritualy. as a christian university, evangel prepares its graduates to be successful in all aspects of life including spirituality.
I was able to find out almost everything i wanted to know before even stepping foot on campus !
Being owned, operated, and run by the Assemblies of God.
The new Gen Ed program called "Frameworks." (Especially the four "FRWK" classes that are required.)
I love the loving enviorment at school. Everyone is very nice. They smile and wave at you when you walk by. Relationships are strong amongst those at the campus.
A person who is more interested in partying or just fooling around should not attend this school. Evangel University is for students who are interested in pursuing their career goals and dreams and strengthening their spirtiual walk as well.
1) Smaller class sizes which provides for more personal interaction with porfessors. 2) Quality professors who are genuinely interested in your success as a person and who will do whatever they can to help you achieve your goals. 3) Opportunities to make life-long friends, whether in your dorm, your class, your department--sometimes you may have to look harder than others, but there are definitely quality students you could get connected with.
It is very tedious to get work done, but the amount of work is not excessive. There are many ways to help yourself to get the best grade in a class, and these sources reach out to you, so that your sucess is a guarentee.
The stereotype for these students is that they are rich white students who have everything taken care of for schooling. And to that i would say, the stereotype is false. I have seen more than just a few students struggle to make ends meet, for either the tuition, or even food.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
100% of students attending Evangel University receive some sort of financial aid. 40% were awarded federal grants. While 93% received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
