What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Christina

If I had the ability to go back in time and talk to myself about college, I would tell myself to trust myself. College is not as scary as it seems from a distance. Don't give up your first choice because of the fear of tuition costs. There are resources available and everything eventually works out. Don't be so afriad to make new friends. Leaving your old friends behind is difficult, but the new ones you are going to make in college are just as amazing. They share similar thoughts, ideas, and have the same desires and motivation for their futures. The transition is not as bad as it seems. Professors don't lock their doors, and you don't flunk out because you had one bad exam. Trusting yourself is the key to your college success. That trust brings you the right campus, the rights majors, and eventually the right careers.

I never made it to my senior year in high school. I dropped out and later returned to complete my diploma a year later. So I would motivate myself, reasure myself that nothing should stop me from accomplishing the things that I need to make life work. I would tell myself to keep my head up no matter how hard things may get. no matter how many people discourage you just keep yourself focused on the bigger prize.
