That they take away alot of your financial aid before your second year of college. I wish I knew how much some of the faculty were unqualified and unsupportive.
Before coming to Fairleigh Dickinson, I wish I knew or understood the importance of having study skills. In high school most students are guilty of studying the day or even hours before their test and in college its an entirely different ball game. A college student is expected to spent at least 2 hours of their own time studying for every hour they spend in class. Also, exam grades can determine a students grade for the semester. There are alot of things that I learned going into college as a freshman, knowing how to study is the most importnant.
I wish i would have known the hassel that the financial aid office was so difficult to communicate with. I also wish i would have known that the Metropolitan campus did not have public relations as a minor and that the option was only available at the Florahm campus.
I wish I had known that Fairleigh Dickinson University offers me free academic tutoring and counseling, and has teachers that actually care for each student. If I had known these facts, I wouldn't have worried so much about my life as a college student. After arriving to Fairleight Dickinson;s campus and actually exploring what it really had to offer all my worries banished. Fairleigh Dickinson University sincerely has offered me all the academic support I have needed, and If I had known then what I know now I would have celebrated all summer instead of worrying so much.
Bofore coming to this university the number one thing I wish I knew about would be, how much money you really are going to need for school. It's hard to keep up with tuition and fees. I am afraid of having to drop out because i can't afford the school I have always wanted to go to.
Before attending this school I wish I would have known that the library wasnt open 24 hours and how to use their web advisery programs more effectively.
I wish I had known more about the financial aid office! I did not understand how I had all of this financial aid and bill not covered. Not only do I wish I had known more about them but it is also frustrating and stressful when trying to focus on your studies.
That it would have been cheaper to go to Jefferson university in PA.
I wish I was better emotionally prepared for college. The school is pretty much run by greek life, which is full of drama. Its very easy to get sucked in overwhelmed by drama, problems, and negative things. I wish I had a better ability to keep my cool and stay focused.
I wish I had known how much of a competitive school Fairleigh Dickinson was before I attended. There is much diversity from all over the world in my school, and each student thinks differently, but in the end most students are fighting for the best grade.
Enrollment services are not helpful. They do not work to find alternatives to help students.
