Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan Campus Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Dayonara

The food in the cafeteria is hardly edible, campus security is the least bit helpful (and will run you over if you don't move off of the sidewalk they're driving on), and that some classrooms aren't meant to hold more than 15 students.

Lack of classes per semester; lackl of times offered for classes per semester

The most frustrating thing about my school is the lack of school spirit. It is an amazing thing to see a body of students showing pride in their school. I feel that my school lacks that and it causes majority of the student body to refrain from coming out and enjoying the great events that are planned and presented to the students. College isn't lways about wht you know, but also he people you come to meet. Without an interaction between the student and the school it appears that something is missing, bit in reality it is just miscommunication.

The only thing that was confuseing for me was finding out when the orentation and placement exam was, i thought that would provide us the information through via email, or mail us the information.

The most fristrating is that it is to big and you can not find anithing on time

I am enjoying my classes and have connected strongly to the professors that teach my courses. Unfortunately, it is frustrating when meeting with my advisor or contacting the financial aid office. As I am attending a satellite campus, the main offices are about an hour's drive. I often need to play phone tag and email my requests. The inability to meet face to face with Fairleigh Dickinson representatives is frustrating.

Stacie

The academic advisement! It seems no one can give you a straight answer and I often get conflicting information. Navigating the college program can get confusing and it would be helpful to have some guidence.

Mary

The cost of tuition! It's a struggle to come up with the money to pay for school, almost to the point where I become so distracted with money that classes take the backseat.

Maria

The most frustrating aspect of my school is the walk across the birdge! Walking from my dorm to Dickinson Hall can be a killer sometimes. Especially when your not there for class! The walk seems like a breeze somedays and like a country mile on others. This is so frustrating because when your done with class you just want to relax but you must cross the bridge before you can do that!!

Maria

The most frustrating thing to me is that, with such a diverse collection of programs, you have to spend a lot of time working with the administration to get all of the registration paperwork processed. No one person knows all of the classes, and alternatives available. Sometimes, I have to contact three or four people in different departments, just to find out if a class will satisfy a particular requirement.

Ashley

What is most frustrating about my school is how overwhelming it can become while taking many credits. Although, I am sure this is how it would be at any school.

Danielle

The least appealing thing about this school was the age/condition of the campus.
