What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year at Farmingdale State College?

I wish I knew to be more focused and independent. This school expects one to be self-reliant and expects everyone to help themselves succeed. I also wish that I knew that the school was not very active or enthusiastic about activities at all. Everything is very subdued here except for the occasional obnoxious student.

I didn't know there were very few clubs, or student activities. I thought it would be more lively than it is. People just come and go, not many people live on campus.

That the professors while well versed in their fields were more flexible to those of us who have to hold full-time jobs. The professors here are very unforgiving when it comes to late work.
