What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

That there is such a strong spirit of community service. The best way to become a part of the University is to find students and professors that you admire and connect in a positive way with them. Service Learning and community service will allow students to meet people and become deeper members of the community and the college.

I wish I would have known to apply for more scholarships. Also, I wish I would have known that gpa is a great deal here at this school. If I can start my college years all over, I will be more involved on campus and studied more in my subject areas.

I wish I knew if they had more jobs available to earn money while in school to make it easy for students like me who have no car and its hard to get around to pay my bills.

I wished I would have known that the there was going to be a recession. The finicial aid was getting cut and this year so is the classes. They are letting some of the teachers go so that means that there are going to be big classrooms. I am not going to like that because I want to learn and some people are just going to joke around. I wish I would have known that they give parking tickets. My first year there in 07 I bought a $45 parking pass and parked in the wrong spot by an accident.

I knew a little bit about the college because I have friends and family that have attended the school. There really wasn't anything extra I wish I would've known.

There is nothing I would wish before I came to Fayetteville State University. Everything I know about that school I learned from family and at freshman oriedation.

That there are not many on-campus activities.

just that things are not always what they seem and that you really have to stay on your things such as grades and finance

I think I knew just the right of information. If I had known too much more it may have interferred with me coming here, which I think is one of the best decisions I ever made.
