Flagler College-St Augustine Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Alexandra

Lack of research facilities, and a stronger emphasis on scienctific based curriculum.

Taylor

Not enough options for classes

Kierstin

The most frustrating thing about Flagler College is that it is a small school. To me, this college is a bit like high school with its clicks. Everyone seems to know everyone else's business within a day or two. I also feel that since upperclassmen live off campus and do not eat at the dinning hall. Since there is such a small percentage of students eating at the dinning hall, it seems like the dinning service is slacking off. Many of the students, including me, are not crazy about Flagler College's food service.

Lisa

The most frustrating thing about Flagler College is the lack of diversity on campus. The school's typical student is white and comes from an upper class family. For a student coming from a lower middle class family, like myself, it's hard to fit in with others. While most students live in already paid for apartments and drive nice cars, it's frustrating having to spend my free time working instead of being social or working on school work.

Robert

The only thing that frustrates me is that Flagler doesn't offer a Graduate program.

Brandy

the clicks at the school between students and that if you are not 21 not too much to do in the area and you should know people off campus because the dorms have no visitations and it annoying sometimes

stacey

We aren't allowed to have boys in the girls dorms and vice versa. It's annoying because it feels like were in high school. College is suppose to bring freedom and allow you the freedom you can't have living at home. This is what brings on a huge part of maturity and students here cannot benefit from that and often times do not get the full college experience.

Carolyn

The scheduling and at times some teachers have a shifted grading scale.

Samuel

How there is not enough school sponsored student activities and that on weekends the students don't have much to do, especially if they don't have a vehicle.

Caleigh

Reistering for classes and not having enough specific classes offered.

Lia

Not much to do outside of class.

David

The most frustrating thing about Flagler College are the rather conservative policies governing the dormitories. While having alchohol free dorms is common at most schools, forbiding members of the opposite sex is not. Women aren't allowed past the door to the hallway to the male dorms and visa-versa. It gets ridiculous at times, but the second you move off campus it stops being a problem.

Michael

financial aid, no football team

Amy

the seperation between those who live on campus and those who do not. A way to incorporate both groups would be nice especially if you are an upperclassman living on campus and most of your friends do not.

Robin

The attendance policy.

Kayla

People aren't genuine, professors aren't great, too small.
