The unique thing about Florida Tech is the class sizes. They are small, about the size of highschool class rooms. Biggest class size I've experienced is around 70 students. These small class sizes optimize interaction and communication between students and professors. Also, since the campus itself is small, students are pretty close knit whereas at other universities you'd rarely see the same person twice outside of class.

I like the small classes, environment, focus on research, and general nerdiness. No matter where your obscure interest lies, there's someone who knows more about it than you do and is willing to talk about it for hours!

I loved the online classes at Florida Tech. It was very easy to learn from them just as you would in a classroom, I may even have learned more without the distractions of the classroom and the ability to work on my time rather than adhere to a class schedule.

Florida Institute of Technology has some unique things. It has a special relationship with NASA, since it was initially started to train astronauts. If you are looking for a future job with NASA, this school has a unique relationship with them. Some professors are even NASA employees. Ofcourse you still have to be in the top pack in order to land such a job. The school is also very diverse. You find people of all kinds in this school, from difference in looks, culture, backgrounds, habits and motives.

Florida Institute of Technology is unique in its population. Classes are very small, smaller than even some of my high school classes, which leads to more one on one time with instructors. Intstructors here get to know you by name, and this is invaluable.Learning becomes much easier with an expert in the field on your side. Socially, FIT is a large family. At small schools everybody tends to know everybody, making Melbourne feel like home. The size of FIT alone has given me a more valuable college experience.

There is nothing in particular that makes a university more unique than any other, its the academic community that matters. My university has a very high standard and is located in a town where is a very low social life, this in turn gives each student the opportunity to focus more on academics than anything else.

Almost 99.9{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the students are completely dedicated to their work and education. It is slightly boring on campus but the overall determination of the students is beautiful and really encourages other students to try their hardest. No one is ashamed of learning and things like alcohol and drugs are not of the highest priority. It is an absolutely wonderful environment to be in.

This school has an intense and well-establishe mainre biology program, notably one of the best in the country. The small class sizes allow more student-teacher interaction, and most classes prepare students for careers in their fields, whether they do research, run a business, or design stuff.
