Our school is best known for higher education that is the cheapest in the state and yet has great education. Our tuition rate has been increasing yet no where near as expensive as other schools. We are also known for being a safe campus with great transportation and a friendly environment.

FSU is most known for its academics, atheltics, and Flying High Circus.

FSU is a university full of traditions. One of my favorites is throwing people in the Westcott Fountain on their birthdays. It is something of a right of passage and students often do it after a night of celebrating at the Strip across Tennessee Street. Every year there is an entire week dedicated to celebrating Homecoming. Football is a great tradition at FSU and no student's experience as an undergrad is completed without doing the chop in Doak Campbell Stadium and rooting on the Seminoles.

Have a good time, which won't be hard, but remember that you are here to learn and plan your life. Try new things and open yourself up to new ways of thinking and living. Find out who you really are and not what you were raised or influenced to be. College is all about self discovery. Become who you want to be and put forth the effort required.

My school is best known for its atmosphere. The students are very school-spirited and enjoy partying. The social aspect of this school is revolved around greek life and its hard to get involved or to be accepted if you are not a part of it.

The school spirit. During football season, the place to be seen is inside the stadium flaunting your garnet and gold. No matter the weather, students are happy to cheer on their fellow students. Though football season captures the essence of our school spirit, it does not end there. Florida State University is proud of its long history, and the old brick buildings remind students that they are one in millions that have walked those passageways in hopes of persuing their dreams; this shared past unites us and all students rejoice in a chance to wear their garnet and gold.

Wonderful programs in criminal justice and criminology, music, film and hospitality among many others. Members of the chemistry department helped develop a leading cancer-fighting drug and members of the physics department were part of a team discovering the top quark.

It's best known for its school pride. We have fun football games and social events.

While it is considered by some to be a bit of a "party school", this is not truly the case with FSU. The criminology program is ranked seventh in the nation, and certainly is the finest one that the state of Florida has to offer.

The community is tight on game-days supported by local businesses, students, and alumni. My only wish is that I find the funds to stay at the beutiful wonderful school! Florida State is knownfor their academics and diverse thinking students as well; We're also known for eating Gator. Just kidding.

The Florida State University may be best known for their well-rounded college experience. The Seminoles have won two BCS championship games and Seminole athletics includes nearly all the most presitgious sports and activities. Academics are strong here at Florida State. The business program at FSU is consistently ranked in the top 100. The professors are knowledgable and always enthusiastic about their jobs. The Greek life is strong and is known to produce many productive adults. Florida State is a great school for a student looking for the most beneficial, and memorable, college experience.

My school is best known for two things. The first is athletics. Our football program has been one of the most successful in college football history being the most dominant program throughout the 90's. Also, we have a one of the top 5 overall athletic programs in the nation. The second is graduate school and research programs. There are several graduate programs ranked in the top 15 nationally, and we are one of the elite research schools in the nation. Also, our fine arts schools, such as music, dance, and film, are the best in the nation.

Our diversity in the quality programs at our school. Not only do we have a great overall sports program, we also are nationally ranked in our arts programs. We have so many great programs that there is something for every kind of person to enjoy.

The Florida State University is known for several things. It is one of the top research institutes and schools in the nation. It has one of the largest magnets in the nation. Florida State University is home to one of the leading researchers in suicide and eating disorders. It has also been ranked as one of the top five public schools to recieve a fine arts education. Florida State has also been known for its sports.

Appalachian State is best known for being such an alternative school in the sense that the majority of the community, for once, are the people who love being outside more than sitting around on a computer or playing video games. As someone studying plants for natural medicine, I appreciated the area and all the adventures to be discovered Searching for mushrooms and flowers with my botany field guide while trekking across campus or through the woods with my professors and classmates was the perfect hands-on way to learn during labs. We even did that for some lectures!

Florida State University is usually thought to be a "party" school, but in fact we are nationally renowned for academic achievement at the undergraduate level as well as for our athletic achievements. The only university in the country that has awarded more Rhodes Scholarships than FSU in the past 5 years is Harvard. We may love our football team, but at the end of the day our main focus is still on academics and pushing the envelope.

At Florida State University, you are more than a number is what most people like to say! It never feels like the students are out of place or not finding a place where they feel comfortable.

Athletics arn't the only thing students rally for, however. Groups around campus are known for their involvement in huge service events such as our annual dance marathon. And if that doesn't catch your interest, there are also smaller traditions that fill the campus such as getting dunked in the fountain on your twenty-first birthday.

The university is best known for their outstanding academic programs such as education, art, law, business, load, medicine, music, and sciences. A number of these programs are very competitive and require limited access. They are also well known for their outstanding athletic program. They are a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference and hold several NCAA awards.

In our town, the college is known for easy access to educational possibilities close to home.

Florida State University is known for the Seminole legacy and traditions. These traditions include the daily walk to classes on the giant brick paved sidewalk appropriately named "Legacy Walk". Also, part of the Seminole traditions are study sessions in Strozier library or Saturday football games at Doak Campbell Stadium watching the 'Noles fight opponents on Bobby Bowden Field.

Our school is known for its professors, excellence of majors, and of course our sports teams.

Florida State University is best known for its football legacy. While we might not be as strong of a team as we once were, especially with the loss of our beloved coach, we have an amazing fanbase, stadium and spirit. Going to football games is a right of passage for new students and the environment both welcoming and exciting.
