This school is really open and pretty much everyone is willing to help you get around or give you advice on classes, profs etc.

Florida State University has a beautiful campus that really drew me in. It is completely different than the look of the schools from where I lived previously. Also, the student are very friendly and have an extremely high amount of school spirit that joins everyone together.

My school has a more northern state look than the other school I applied .

The many oppurtunites that are available.

This school has a really good Catholic Student Union that helps me (and everybody) stay involved with God and the religous community. Uniquely, they have the Brotherhood of Hope (a religious order) that is totally dedicated to campus ministry. The difference really shows.

It's size is better suited for me, I didn't want to attend a school where I would just be another student.

By visiting other schools and seeing the campus layout, I have noticed that Florida State has such a beautiful and amazing campus. There are fields to play recreational sports, trees, fountains and all of the campus is connected. You do not need to ride the bus to class because everything is in walking distance. Not only does this make getting to class easier, but I feel it also unifies the people as a school.

This applies to all college experiences. Never be afraid: to ask questions, to talk to people, to try something new. Its all an adventure!

Go to the school where you feel at home. A college isn't a school like high school, it is your HOME for the next 4 (or 5 or 6) years.

If you're interested in business at all, a great way to network is Alpha Kappa Psi! I've never had such a great group of friends that I can depend on! Its a good way to help you make it through business school and its great for preparing you for the real world.

All in all, I'd give FSU a 9 out of 10. It rocks, but then again school is school and you know how that goes.

I hate the fact that arts programs are being targeted in the new Florida Medallion Scholarship cutbacks. It's totally fucking unfair. People are trying to make fulfilling careers out of these programs, and the state isn't making it any easier. There is a noticeable disdain for the arts from those who aren't necessarily involved, because the motivation behind art isn't profit. It's not about money, so why does it still stand? Arts must be a frivolous thing then. Let's cut their funding. It's wrong.

College is an amazing experience. Have fun and do things you know you probably shouldn't. This is the time to do the stuff your parents told you to never do; just be safe and do it in moderation. You won't remember the nights you sat at home studying but you will remember the nights of fun!!

I love Florida State. It has made me who I am today. I have met the greatest people here, including my professors and faculty! The opportunities that FSU provides cannot be found anywhere else, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

If you are a Florida resident considering FSU, be sure to have your reasons for going very firmly cemented in your head. Know what you want to get out of your time there and go for it. Oh, and definitely check out the SLB.

I can't say enough good things about FSU. I've never been so happy with a decision as the one I made about attending this school. I've lived in many places in the US, and none have felt like home as much as Tallahassee. The atmosphere is perfect for learning, inside and outside the classroom.

When choosing a school, you can't just go by academic reputation, location, and/or extracurricular activities- you have to consider ALL these things together. FSU offers a little something for everyone.

We have such a beautiful campus, over-flowing with gardens and trees and benches in nature-guarded alcoves. My favorite times I believe on campus, during those busy and stressful days, is leaning up against an oak tree or hiding in a garden with study materials or a good book. Sometimes groups of friends and I would picnic on a green under an oak tree to study together and throw our left-over snacks to the greedy campus squirrels, which are five times larger than your average Floridian squirrel. FSU always seems bustling and busy, full of life and excitement, but there are quiet places to think and rest even among hustle and bustle of campus.

There are two types of bathrooms you chance getting when you live in the dorms: suite style or community. I consider myself slightly OCD about cleanliness and germs and I prayed for the suite style, so I would share a single bathroom with 3 other girls opposed to a large bathroom with multiple stalls and showers with a whole hall of girls. As luck would have it, I was assigned to a dorm with community bathrooms-I was horrified. I assumed that I would always be waiting-hence the 3 showers and 3 toilets and 2 urinals that certainly were of no use to a hall full of girls. Luckily, I was very very wrong. It really isn't so bad. I have never once had to wait for anything. It's nice that maintenance cleans them, since there's hardly anytime for students to do that and if your friend is in the shower next to you, it's fun to chat. :) I'm really happy with the outcome.
