My school is extremely social and offers many opportunities to get involved! This helps create a good network for students for the classroom and a healthy social life. Also, free tutoring for most subjects is offered and the professors are very encouraging!
I think that the best thing about Florida State University is it's school spirit. At the football games, the stands are filled with students who are painted all over or wearing Florida State outfits from head to toe, or even some who dress up as a actual seminole Indian. The crowd cheers on the players and everyone is equally involed in the game. The Nole Chant is screemed all through out the game and every game is high in spirit and no matter if we win or lose just being at the game is worthwhile.
I absolutly love the campus! It is beautiful and it truly feels like a college. Florida State University also has a campus where classes and dorms are very close. It takes about 25 minutes or so to walk from one side of the campus to the other.
The accessiblility of extracirricular activities is definitely the best thing about this school. The school actually wants you to become an active member in the FSU community as well as in the overall Tallahassee community. There is a career center where a plethora of volunteer, job, and internship opportunities are available. In addition, there are a large amount of intramural sports ranging from bowling to rugby.
The variety and breadth of academic courses available to students. My current schedule includes classes on political science research design, national security studies, advanced spanish grammar, computer music/audio production, and macroeconomics. There are so many possibilities for bettering yourself intellectually, and sometimes it is frustrating knowing that I will not be able to take advantage of every opportunity that is here for me.
At Florida State University we take pride in our significantly respectful staff. While deciding between a school in reference to class size and student teacher relationships, you may seem skeptical about attending a large university because of the class size. However, I have learned that professors offer an extensive amount of office hours. This allows for more detailed and personal assistance, as well as allocates the student to become acquainted with the professor. In return for your presence during office hours, the relationship between your professors can aid in your search for recommendations for admission into graduate school.
I feel like it offers me the best opportunities to maximize my college experience, in both my studies and my social life. I have always been driven to do well in school, so when I need to crack down and study I actually enjoy going to the library; it offers study rooms, snacks during exam week, and just has a very inviting environment. In my free time, there's tons of things to do :whether I want to go to a club, just lay out on our beautiful green, or go bowling (with tons of free transportation to get everywhere!)
A clean and productive environment provides me with a sense of pride. Florida State University has dozens upon dozens of resources for their students to use. With all the free resources offered by the university I feel it is extremely easy to find any assistance you require. From the late night tutors in the libraries to the dozens of on-campus study session, Florida State University has countless resources to guide its students towards academic success.
The best thing about my school is that we are unified in school spirit, the Seminole Pride. There is a great amount of tradition behind our school. Alumni, current students, and faculty come together to celebrate FSU.
The school spirit is infectious. The variety of activities and level of enthusiasm for each one is surprising. There are tons of ways to get involved, whether it be academic or social.
The best thing about my school is the amount of opportunities it provides its students. Florida state university provides a very academic atmostphere with a strong emphasis on toutoring. At the same time it also provides many opportunities for volunteering at both on-campus and off-campus venues.
The most appealing aspect about Florida State is it's location; Tallahassee functions as the state capitol and has innumeral opportunities for government internships. As a student, I have worked as an intern for the Florida Attorney General and for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. You are able to gain political experience in a town that is booming with opportunity.
There is always something to do.
The best thing about my school would have to be the availablity of activities that there are to do on campus. A student does not necessarily have to go out off campus to have fun.
The best thing about my school is the school spirit. Most everybody who goes here has it and I think it helps the students academically. It makes them proud of their school and makes them want to learn.
The people. I've never met a more open or friendly group than the students at FSU. They are always ready to hang out, and there are very few creepsters. There is no pressure to drink or do drugs, either; they accept everyone.
This school displays alot of school spirit from the students which makes it an exciting school.
I like the programs the school offers.
There are tons of opportunites at FSU. Being such a large school, there are campus groups and organizations for everyone, the night life is always fun but not outrageous and the people are (for the most part) genuine. Much of the education you receive is based on what your major is, some are more demanding while others let people fly under the radar--but everyone knows what programs they are and they remain small. Overall FSU has been a life-changing experience for me and I wouldn't change it at all. Highly recommend.
The best thing about my school is the school spirit and the alumni. People are proud to be a seminole and always come back for any game or event. Homecoming is the important thing in this campus.
The best thing about Florida State is the educational system they hold in place for the Communication Sciences and Disorders majors.
The best thing about Florida State University is it's diversity in every area imaginable. No matter what extracurricular activities you may want to join, which career path your interested in, or even what kind of food you want and like to eat -- I guarantee that you will find something to fit you, your wants, desires and personality. And if you don't (like with club and organizatons) the university is always open to students starting new clubs and organizations!
I felt that the best thing were the counselors at the school and also the administrative is very supportive and understanding.
Beautiful campus that makes learning there easy away from home
I would encourage students to take more AP classes and Dual enrollment courses.
I would consider the profesors here to be the best thing about Florida State University. This isbecause they are all dedidcated to teaching their students everything they can to further their education. Many of the Science profesors are very well known in their fields and are among the top of their fields. They are aways there for the students when they need help, and do what ever they can to help them when a student is looking for career help.
There are numerous things that come to mind when I am asked to disclose the best thing about Florida State University but the one that stands out above the rest is the way the university makes the transition between high school and college very easy. They begin by offering fantastic student run tours, allowing one on one assistance for financial aid and registering and this assistance continues year after year. There is never a time that you feel like you are alone because there is always help for any problem that you may encounter.
Location, location, location.
The football and dedicated fans that support each other.
The best thing about FSU is that it is a University that greatly promotes campus involvement. Whether it's politically, socially, or even in the community, FSU has always been at the forefront for campus involvement. Which in turn gives its students a world class education that the classroom alone cannot teach.
The best thing about Florida State University is the academics and the professors. Even when the classes are not taught by full-fledged professors but by graduate students, there is something to be learned, if not the actual subject matter, then teaching styles and what to look for in a good professor or instructor in the future.
Football season. The school spirit is amazing to see.
It has a very social environment and it is very easy to adjust to. The campus is gorgeous and there are many areas to become involved.
The best thing aboout my school is the diversity of activities and organizations one can get involved in, whether it be greek life, volunteering, or student government.
Everything is close together and as a student at the school you have access to free public transportation. Its easy to get around the campus and city and do the things you enjoy.
It is a great school if you want to party, join Greek life or attend football games.
The Small close campus lets you get to really know the people around you, and the campus is just beautiful. There is also the cultural history intertwined with our schools mascot, and how we work with the Seminole Indians to uphold their history as best we can. I am in the Marching Band, and that is THE best part of school for me, my bandmates are like my second family up at school.
I love greek life at my school! It provides students with opportunity to meet lots of interesting people that they may not otherwise have a chance to meet as well as the opportunity to get involved on and around campus. Greek life also presents plenty of opportunities to have fun in one's free time.
Accredited.
The absolute best thing about my school is the ease of access. Students have all the support they need (academically and socially). It all the tools are in our hands, but it is our responsibility to make use of them.
I like the library
The sense of community, school spirit, and passion of the students and professors.
The best thing about Florida State University is the diversity of students, teachers, classes, and majors.
The school spirit is the best thing. Everyone that attends FSU is a die0hard Seminoles fan and we gather together under than same notion. Despite being separated by school year, or sorority, or religion, we're all joined under our complete and competitive love for the Seminoles.
The community and school spirit.
People are so friendly and lively. I have made so many friends and met so many great people that I am so glad that I came to this university.
The best thing about Florida State University is the school spirit. There is an energy and passion that infects the huge student body with excitement, loyalty and respect for their school's mascot and name, as well as pride in their education and social network.
The amount of school spirit during Football and homecoming week, even if your not a football fan the excitement catches. Also the night life is exciting and the diverse. You get the small town feel, where you know most people in town, and the big city feel with the clubs and concerts that happen. The fact that we share the town with FAMU is also a plus for the Black students who may feel out of place at FSU, by allowing for an outlet of other people to socialize with. With these two campuses theirs plenty of stuff to do.
I believe the diversity of the student body sets Florida State University apart from the average university. Students are encouraged to interact with their peers. We are exposed to a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and learn to appreciate them all.
Everyone is so willing to help. We love everybody!
