Fontbonne University Top Questions

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

KRISTINA

Before coming into college, what I wished I would have known was that the fewer hours a student takes, the longer a student will remain in college. Another thing that I wished I would have known is the financial risk/sacrifice that a FULL TIME student has to face. Being a FULL TIME student and trying to mantain a decent job to support yourself is something that is very possible; however very challenging. Furthering my education is something that is going to be beneficial for me in the future.

I wish I had known that I did have all of the funding needed to attend. That is the reason I need this Scholarship to fund the rest of this year tution.

Jessica

Quite honestly, I wasn't fully prepared for the workload. I had attended a community college two years prior and was not aware of how much higher Fontbonne's educational standards really were. The first semester was far tougher than I could have ever dreamed it would be, but, now that I am more adjusted to the teaching style at this university I couldn't be happier with my choice. I am in my final semester now and I believe that the challenges I faced in that first semester, as well as those that followed, have been to my benefit.

I wish that I had known more about what activities are avalible at the school. Emails are sent out that tell students about what is going on at the school , but some emails you don't get till the day of the event ,which can make it hard to get to the event. Other than that though there is nothing really that I wish I would have known. Fontbonne has never hidden anything from me and everything I was told about the school has been true.

Kent

I wish i would have known more about how financial aid works so that I would have completed all of the forms correctly when i first started back to school after 20 years.

Hallie

Nothing. They did a great job of telling me everything I needed to know before I started classes. They really care about their students.
