That the campus is really pretty, and the people that go there are really nice. I also brag about how the teachers want you to succeed and will do anything to help you do so.
It is the best kept secret in the heartland. FHSU is like a mirage in the middle of Kansas. FHSU has graduates from every state and every country. I live in Germany and still attend FHSU!
FHSU is a relatively small campus but it has the opportunities that a much larger campus has. The staff are involved in their departments and enjoy being a part of their students' lives. FHSU has a lot of opportunities for the students to become involved in extracurricular activities. There are also opportunities for students to be involved in projects and trips around the world. The faculty are also very helpful when you are in need of assistance. As a student, you are also offered assistance in finding jobs when you graduate which is a big help.
Well, I would say the class sizes, they are perfect around 30 less or more of course, but not to large.
The number of extra curricular activities I am involved in, and how all my professors (with only one exception), are my favorite.
At Fort Hays State University my professors know who I am and care if you pass your classes. They want to see you succeed. The classes are more like high school classes and not huge lecture halls. I've been going to school here for almost two years and my biggest class was only 50 students and the rest of them have been on average about 19 students. With the numerous groups, organizations, and events taking place on campus every student will find some way to be involved. Everyone on campus is friendly.
