FCC is a very good community college, with thorough academics and extracurricular opportunities. Not a university lifestyle, but this should be expected. It doesn't necessarily go above and beyond, but it is a good community college with lots of nice staff. Perfect for just out-of-high school students or those looking to return to education. FCC is a very good community college!

I like FCC so much that I completed an associates a few years ago. I went on to get my bachelors in paralegal studies. Unfortunately that career field didn't work out. So I had to opportunity to come back and get a cybersecurity certificate which I turning into a degree. It is a very reasonable school cost wise. And the staff and professors are very supportive. It is a great place to learn.

Milagros

I extremely happy of choosing in staying local. I have nothing but great things to say about Frederick community college. My experience with classmates, professors, and other peers have been wonderful

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If i could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior i would say alot of things. I would tell myself to not rush through school and to really enjoy my last year of school. I would also tell myself to not rush to have a baby. I have a 2 year old son and i love him with everything i have but going through college with a baby is very difficult. It really makes it haed to find time to study and its really hard to get the money for the classes when you have a baby while you are still in school. I would also tell myself to study very hard and to try get the best grades possible because education is very important and you really do need to have a good education in todays society to be able to succeed.

The people that should attend this school is anyone who is looking to continue there education but also want to stay close to home. Another good reason to attend this school is because its not like a big univeristy where you dont get any one on one time with your teachers. All the teachers here are very helpful and would do anything to see there students succeed in school and in life in general.

  4. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

It is hard to think of what to consider as the worst part of my school, because there are so many good things that stand out. Although if I had to choose one thing that was the worst about my college experience at FCC it would be the crowded parking lot. At times there is simply not enough room for all the students, but the key is to show up early to class to get a good parking spot. If not there could be a lot of walking in store for you and you could be late to class.

  5. Describe the students at your school.

All of the classmates I have at my school are very friendly. They are all very different but they are all easy to talk to. Most everyone I have experienced at my school is very open to conversation and helping if you needed it. For example, while going to FCC I have made a group of friends in every class I have attended. Everyone around you is in the same boat you are and it helps that all your classmates are there to achieve a common goal, which is to get a degree and make good money for your future.
