I wish I had known a way to get out of attending this awful school. I was forced to attend this worthless institution. You truly do get what you pay for when attending the worst university on the planet. Frostburg is rated 125 out of 135 colleges in the Northeast. I wish I had known how insanely liberal and homosexual this school was. I was harassed by multiple gay men, and never felt safe. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!
How friendly everyone is and how close-knit the honors program community is.
what i wanted my field of study to be
I wish I had known the importance the amount of work and focus it takes to be a graduate student. My first attempt at college was to graduate with a Bachelor's and join the workforce as soon as possible. Now wanting to be a graduate student and attain those degrees seem to be so much more important. It requires a completely different work ethic and attention to detail. I am not able to perform at a higher level for all my classes as I am now preparing to be the best student I can be.
nothing really.
I wish I knew how to study effectively and I wish I had learned better test taking skills.
What I wish before I started to attend Frostburg State University is the real cost of college, When i was young i thought college was simple get good grads in high school and you go to college free thats not always true if you get D's C's B's your new goal should be a A+or the max your school gives and one more thing choose your enviroment well because you will see it for the next four or five years.
I wish I would have pushed to live on campus even though I was a "townie" and could walk to school. I missed a lot not being on campus and in the mix of students.
I wish I knew who cold the weather can be and how moutainous Frostburg is.
Before i had attended Frostburg State University, i wish i would have known about the off campus housing and the different sororities they had to offer to students. It seems as though the University wants its students to become involve in on campus activities and joining a sorority would inspire myself to become more involved.
I wish i would have known how many outdoor activies there were...I would have learned to ski before coming!
Before I came to school I wish I would have been aware of how much things such as books cost. I never expected to have to pay $1000 in books a year. I also wish that I knew it snowed in October in the mountains that would have been a big help. I also wasn't aware of how scheduling of classes took place. It is quite confusing, but your advisors will help you so don't stress to much.
Before I became a Frostburg State student I wish I knew to the values of studying in my down time. In high school teachers did not prepare me in studying in my down time. Therefore, I would have wished that my teachers prepared me on how to study in my down time.
How to study properly. I got by in high school not needing to study, but It becomes a near necessity in college. It took me awhile to learn how to study effectivly.
I wish I had known exactly how cold it would have been before I came to Frostburg State University. I wish I had known that off campus living would be so much cheaper than on campus living.
That it's so boring and distant from everything.
That is was freezing cold. It's in the middle of nowhere.
How bad the wind can be.
that there was more guys then girls.
How playing football would really have affected my life.
I wish i would have known how cold it really gets here, but i love the cold so its ok.
I wish I would have known that it gets to be about 0 degrees here in the winter.
The cold temperatures in the winter. Its proximity to other states
Before I started attending Frostburg State University I wish I could have learned more about their Environmental Science and Conservation programs. I want to study in those fields so it would greatly benefit me if their was more easy to find information and descriptions available so that I could make the best decision I could. Also, I wish I would have foud out more about the Financial Aids scholarships available to me.
