I love it! I transferred here after my freshman year at a public school and am certain I made the right choice in the move. The communities on and off campus are amazing and professors truly care about the students' wellbeing. Faith and Scripture are deeply intertwined with all we do and so is the truth and love of the gospel!

Though I know it is not perfect, it has many qualities which endear me to it, the most important of these being the people. The people there are so welcoming and friendly, you would almost believe you had always lived here. Though it may not have all the most up-to-date features in its dorms, it manages to be homely in its look. Overall, a good place to be.

Geneva College is a great college to attend. The faculty and staff are excellent as they are always willing to help, both academically and personally. The campus is quite beautiful albeit aged. Campus life is enjoyable with a wide range of events, varying from intramural sports to multiple musical performances. Academically, Geneva well equips students with the necessary skills needed to graduate and enter their professional careers.

Geneva College has small class sizes and for the most part great professors who are always willing to help. A heavily religious school but the upper office people are more there for their money then anything else. Very much against helping students with issues such as housing even in bad situations because "everything can be worked out". In reality they just do not want to do the jobs they are paid for. The food is sometimes great and sometimes okay but lots of options for a small campus. Freshmen dorms are rather lackluster with no AC and heat varies between great and poor on any given day. The apartments for upperclassmen sound much better though. The engineering program is outstanding with great professors with lots of great connections. They are very approachable and accepting of student ideas. The campus does sponsor various events but there is certainly a lack of entertainment off campus that is within walking distance. Geneva is a great college to get an education and I heavily suggest to anyone who is looking to really learn for a year and just are not there for the so called "college experience."

Geneva College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Geneva College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Geneva College is 70%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would start saving up money. When you make the first tuition payment you learn just how quickly your savings account can be drained. I didn't have a full-time job until after I graduated from college and I really wish that I had started working sooner. Also, I would try to save money in other ways by not going out to eat or going shopping as much. The money I could have saved by doing these things really could make a difference now.
