George Washington has a program called "professors of practice." This means that most of our professors have worked or still work in the fields that they are teaching about. Last semester, I had five classes and out of those five professors, I had one that I really didn't like. In smaller classes, you get to know your professor very well and they even know you by name. However, in the larger lecture classes, your professors aren't as personable, you only interact with the teaching assistants. However, overall, my professors have been great! Because they worked in the fields we're learning about, they can answer questions and provide better information, while sharing great stories and tips as well!
