An overpriced school with great professors but poor leadership.
The George Washington University provides a once in a lifetime college experience in the nation's capital as one of the most politically active schools in the country
George Washington University is eclectic - there are students doing a million different things in all areas of life, and who are truly passionate about what they are learning and experiencing, students from all walks of lives and backgrounds, and who are pursuing dreams and goals in all different directions; GWU embraces the mantra "work hard and play hard;" GW has so many niches that it is not impossible to find one that is your own.

George Washington University is a great campus with many different resources, such as internship opportunities and faculty, to help the students acheive their maximum potential.
The most liberal school possible.
During my first year at the George Washington University, I have learnt that you will find a lot of variety and different cultural backgrounds. It's location is one of the biggest atractions but it doesn't neccesarily means that you will have preferred access to the different buildings around. It's a big campus unlike any others I have seen, it is in the middle of Washington, DC. Great for sightseeing
GW always looks really exciting to someone who's never seen it. It's centered right in DC, so you can see the Lincoln Memorial while going across campus. I think that's something people get really excited about. Foggy Bottom, our city campus, looks exactly like the other buildings in DC. If there weren't giant George Washington heads all over you'd probably miss it! But the Mount Vernon campus is a lot closer to the college campus image you get from movies and tv. It's the best of both worlds!
The school is full of excitment and passion. There are a lot of student organization you can join and it is totally fine if you don't go Greek. There's many professional co-ed fraterneties and honoary frat. You are living in the city, take advantage of it.
GW is quite liberal and very career focused; an excellent place for politically saavy students.
George Washington University is an institution built on tradition, understanding, acceptance, and perseverance through diversity and onto success. Even though I have only attended here for less than one year I have become acquainted with their view of the world. The school pushes through tough times and does the same with helping their students as well. I am by not means financially secure, and it is with the people in this school that helped me stay and continue with my dreams.
The George Washington University was created in 1821 through an Act of the Congress, fulfilling George Washington?s vision of an institution in the nation?s capital dedicated to educating and preparing future leaders.
The George Washington University is at the forefront of American and International activities--whether it is in the arts, sciences, or general politics--GW is preparing me to think not only in the realm of American thinkers, but as an individual, world citizen with the power to channel my passions to move and change the world for the better.
My school is diverse, prestigious, and politically oriented.
GW is both of and amidst the thousands of political, social, cultural, and intellectual resources that the nation's capital has to offer., making it one of the most respected university's in the country.
George Washington University is a college that is full of opportunities and intellect that thrives within a city campus.
high quality
There is much truth to the stereotype about preppy career-minded students, but there are also some amazing people and professors if you look hard enough.
GW is a reject pile of the georgetown snobs that just didn't cut it.
GW is a diverse community (and I'm serious when I say diverse) with passionate students and professors, excellent options for extra-curricular activities and ways to get involved and is AMAZINGLY located in the nation's fantastic, constantly bustling metropolitan capital, providing countless, incredulous job and internship opportunities that will launch you onto your future career path.
An excellent place to learn about how the real world works from the people that are running it.
The best place to experience college
The George Washington University is by far the ideal college experience for me through its political, social and academic spheres and its location.
"Things happen here. "
Pompous rich kids who love to spend their parents money and who strive to be wealthy millionaires.
A school with no real indentity, but up-and-coming educationally.
GW is a large institution where one can feel lost and alone quite often, but there is alot that is done by GW to get the community involved and for people to interact that creates a semblance of a small town college.
It is an open-minded mixture of career-oriented students from across the country, most of whom share at least a small level of interest in political science, business or international affairs.
George washington is a school that provides guidance and direction to people who are unsure of what they are going to do once they graduate.
The GW Student population is jappy, preppy and although liberal by age group conservative by nature, while the faculty and staff are very fiscally and socially conservative.
I like to say it's a like a tech school for future wealthy white collar workers - prepares you for your trade with hands on experience through internships, etc, but with no real school spirit or typical college experience.
You learn a lot more about life than just academics.
You will have more opportunitites and more experiences in one week, than your friends at other schools will have their entire college career!
Provides limitless opportunities to those who make an effort to seek them out.
Its good.
GW is the school for the future lawyers and politics of America, no one else.
Socially, cut throat - image is important, but so is intellect.
An up and coming university that's focused on higher their standards for the future--definitely one that will be higher in the rankings very soon.
George Washingtons large campus in downtown dc is vibrant and bustling, but the sourounding city tends to die down at night and on the weekends. Academics are important but not to the exclusion of other activities, students definitely know how to have a good time.
Not worth the cost.
GWU is filled with ambitious, talented students who are excited about learning.
Expensive, however the opportunities available for each student make up for the price.
Academicically focused on liberal policies.
An exciting place to be going to school!
The perfect school for anyone who wants a great academic, social, community, city, and unique college experience.
