What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Sarah

Dear younger self, You're still in high school, wondering if you want to go to college or just get a job and not worry about going to school. You think that you can just make do with a part time job at Waffle House but I want to let you know you won't get anywhere if you stay there. Don't let a measely job hold you back. You're scared of college, you don't want to fail it and disappoint your parents. But the only person you're going to fail is yourself. College is important. It's going to help you through life and if you don't go you're going to miss out on a lot of amazing oppritunities. Imagine being 26 and having a really nice job making a 100,000 a year instead of that 20,000 from Waffle House. You wouldn't ever have to struggle like your parents did and still do. You can be better and do better. You deserve it. So, just go ahead and go to college. You won't ever regret it. Love, Your older self

I would give myself two tips for highschool. My first would be not to get lazy my last year so that I can maintain the high GPA I once had. The second rule of advice would be to to better research on colleges and finish applications despite the hassel all people can consider them to be.

All throughout my high school career, our senior year was referred to as the year to "goof off". I followed my friends? example and didn't fully apply myself in my classes. I always considered myself to be an average student. I did only the work required by the class without really going above and beyond and earning the grade I could have had i applied myself. I managed to obtain at least a 3.0 GPA up until my senior year. I final GPA in high school was a 2.8. In the state of Georgia, if you graduate with a 3.0 GPA or higher, you are eligible to qualify for the HOPE Scholarship. If I could go back and talk to myself as a senior in high school, i would tell myself to really work through that last year and give it my best. In the end, all my hard work will pay off and be totally worth it.

Kenesha

I would tell myself to have a little fun. I spent most of my high school career working or studying. Now that I am in college ,after I study, I rarely know what to do with myself.

Christopher

I would tell myself that I should begin feeling out applications and scholarships now so that I can go to the school of my choice.

Keri

The advice i would give myself is always avoid procrastination.

Mary

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a senior, I would say go to the college your family has picked out and get a digree. With out one, you can not have a good life. You will strugle with money, and have jobs that you do not like. Going to college will better your life, and the future family you will have. Use the motived skills you have and start now, don't wait till your kids are grown. By the time you are my age you will have the degrees you want and the job you will love.
