It's starting to get a little crowded now, so there are long lines, traffic, and limited parking. Also, parking is expensive and parking citations are written often.
The worst thing about this school is that it sometimes feels like they are advising you to be here longer than you need to.
Its too counrty. Some people dont kow how to act in pubic or be respectful.....as far as the students go.
The education is good, but there is absolutely nothing fun to do in Statesboro. I don't know why there isn't, but since it is a colleg town. There should be more places to hang out and have fun for the students.
The lack of stores such as grocery, eating spots, and entertainment. The city relies on Walmart to take care of everything.
We do not have a Target. We only have a Super Walmart and a ghetto K-mart, and sometimes they do not have things that a Target would have to offer.
I think the worst thing about sounthern is also one of the best things about it and that is that it is so far fromo things it gves the comunity a real sense of cohesion.
Some of the teachers are foreign and very hard to understand.
Nothing bad really, a great social scene, but not as good as some that exist at schools in larger cities, but with a new alcohol board, therefore new alcohol laws, perhaps the scene is on a rise.
The parking is the worst thing about our school, because there is not enough parking spots.
The bus system
The reputation that it's a party school. It gives people a negative feeling towards our university, diminshes some of the meaning behind obtaining a degree from this university.
the attitudes of people in fraternaties and sororities is pretty lame. They think they are better than everyone else. They also thinking drinking everynight at the bar is the best thing to do with their spare time.
The limited food choices.........
Lack of out side entertainment
Parking Citations issued
Cost. I don't have a money tree in my back yard and it is hard to keep a job and finish school work. I also don't like that almost all of my tests fall in the same few days. One week I have nothing due and the next I cant leave the library and am completely drained. I know it doesnt seem like a big deal, but studying for 4 tests in a row is aweful!
The worst thing to me about Georgia Southern is the amount of work it takes to simply register for classes.
None
The location of the bus stops.
The teachers and advisors will tell you anything except what you need to know.
Team spirit is the worst thing about Georgia Southern University. We have sports similiar to major univirsities, such as basketball and football. However, our stadium isn't half-way full on game days for football. Very few poeple go to watch our basketball team. Maybe a handfull knows when our soccer games are. If we had better spirit, I believe our school would be bigger, as well as more united. We would believe in each other more and be more willing to help one another, especially support our school's sports teams.
The fact of some people in their majors are not really here because they are passionate about their major but because they think that it is the best way to make a lot of money. Money isn't everything.
That there are so many bars around the campus and that the police here are really bad.
The worse thing about my school is the fact that, for some people, this wasn't their first choice. These people tend to bad mouth our own team.
The lack of parking enforcement as well as the ammount of vehicle traffic throughout the only road that runs through the campus.
The worst thing about Georgia Southern University is the parking. We do not have enough 30 minute parking so there are tickets handed out all over the place.
I think that the worst thing about Georgia Southern is the lack of emphasis placed on career placement and finding a job placement for students once they graduate. Also, i feel that ties between community and college are not unified enough and many times, situations are disagreed on and it is like a civil war in the county. For example, many of the local politicians did not agree on students voting.
At my school everyone is considered a drinker. i was in the hospital and was very sick, when they gave me my medicine the nurse told me not to share my drink on friday night. she was impling that i drank, and i do not, because drinking is Georgia Southern's stereotype.
