The "average" Grinnellian is said to be an intelligent, very liberal, accepting, activist hippie. This is pretty true. Everyone here is very intelligent, and VERY LIBERAL. Hard-core Christians and Republicans beware! There is also a stereotype that everyone here parties a lot and does lots of drugs and alcohol. I'd say that for a good chunk of the population that's true as well, but you won't be judged if you don't.
