Hampton University is best known for its business department. I am apart of the education department and can still appreciate the quality that Hampton has to offer all of its departments.

My school is best known for its connection with alumni and other HU students. No matter where I go, I am always confronted by a fellow Hamptonian. HU's alumni are always willing to assist fellow Hamptonians when help is needed, which is nonetheless a good thing.

Hampton University is know for its Broadcast/Journalism program. Hampton is also said to have a great nursing program, not true.

My school is best known for the African American Heritage adn traditions that were passed down through generations of educated African Americans. It's tradtions and values are recognized in the black community and is listed in the top 3 HBCU's in the country.

Hampton University in my opinion is very well known for their homely atmosphere. It is also known for the athletics department, as well as, the percentage of job placements after graduation. HamptonUniversity is known as the 'Home by the Sea'; this is justified by the peaceful and calming waterfront on the campus. This school also known for the academics and the academic programs offered such as, the MBA program for business majors, Journalism programs, Engineering and Pharmacy progams.

My school is best known for its beautiful campus often referred to as "your home by the sea". Hampton University's campus is surrounded by water, and huge magnolia trees, and it is absolutely breath-taking. Studnts often refer to the water as the waterfront, and see it as a place to relax, do homework, orjust hang out with friends.

Hampton University is best known as an elite school. HU allows for the ultimate HBU experience. Our school has a good learning experience and a very fun party life. The atmosphere allows for a good learning experience and the surrounding area allows for a good party life to relieve students from all the studying.

My school is best know for having a high number of graduates that go on to get offers from many jobs, have a many intership offers, and very succesful Journalism School.

Hampton is best known for being an HBCU, but more importantly an HBCU that has been ranked on the top 100 universities, and also for the audiology and speech pathology department.

Its daily fashion shows and parades of designer clothing; its exciting homecomings (battle of bands, parties, reunions, the football game/halftime show); it outrageously unrealistic, conservative rules (freshmen curfew, room checks, alcohol-free campus, tobacco-free campus, housing that forbids visitors of the opposite sex after dark/before sophomore year); its dresscode that's stricter than any high school dresscode you've ever endured; and all of the other rules and traditions that make Hamptonian women/men proud of their alma mater, plus other (backwards, close-minded) habits that prevent Hampton from fulfilling its potential as a top University.

Nursing and engineering programs. Our Football team is top notch. But our Poly Sci program is on the way up and we have had Presidential Canidate Barack Obama on campus numerous times as well as other dignitaries such as Congressman Bobby Scott.
