I have been going to HACC for a few years now. I am in the nursing program, currently one year left in clinical part time. The Lancaster campus itself is great, it is clean, inviting, and safe. The class sizes are not too big and professors and usually very nice and accessible. The only complaint is in the nursing department. It is very unorganized and they seem not to know what is going on. Each semester things are thrown at us last minute and communication can be very lacked sometimes.
I was a student at HACC for 6 years! I absolutely enjoyed the amenities on campus as well as my overall academic experience. There are always professors and tutors available to help you. The Financial Aid office is also extremely helpful. The campus is large, but easy to navigate. The tuition is reasonably priced and you definitely get a well rounded academic experience.
My overall opinion of HACC-Lancaster is that the environment is very welcoming! You can ask anyone you see a question and everyone is very helpful! It's a very clean and professional campus. HACC offers a wide variety of food chooses, so there is something for everyone including vegans. Hacc also has a variety of sports to choose from!
It was a great school for me to be able to participate in dual enrollment and get a headstart on my postsecondary education before I graduate high school and went off to a four-year university. I thoroughly enjoyed my two semesters at HACC Lancaster Campus.

I would tell myself to make up my mind. As a high school senior, I was not taking my education seriously and was undecided on my career choice. After I had my son, I was able to decide that education was important to me but with the extra responsibilities, it made things more difficult. I obtained my LPN with very good grades and I am now going for my RN. If I could talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself to buckle down and put in the hours of studying and make a commitment to my education because it is very important.
Honestly I cannot think of a lot that is wrong with this school. If I had to pick one thing that I really truly didn?t like about HACC I think it would be parking. There are never enough parking spots at the school. This can be a little bit of a hassle when trying to get to class on time. Other than that the school is generally a really good one I would recommend to anyone whether you are going to college for the first time, or coming back years later I think HACC has something for everyone.
The Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) is a great school. The Classes are reasonably small so this allows the proffers to be able to focus more time individually with students if they need it. The extra one on one time with the teachers is nice, in most cases the teachers generally care about how you?re doing and they want you to be learning all you can from them rather than just trying to get you through the class passing or not.
My college is well known for their excellent nursing program.
HACC is a small community college that provides a vast majority of education programs for any person.
My classmates have always been very helpful and kind.
The most frustrating thing about my school is they don't have on campus housing. Which means I have to commute to and from school which burns up gas and it burns up money that I don't really have to spend. Also finding parking is a real job you have to drive around the parking lot waiting and hoping someone is leaving class so you can park. I wish I could live on campus and just walk to and from my dorm to my classes and around the campus it would save time.
Harrisburg Area Community College is fairly inexpensive and very inviting to all types of people!
People of all ages should consider attending this school, HACC-Lancaster campus has a friendly and professional staff that wants their students to succeed. They make enrollment and financial aid very easy.
The Best thing about my school is the diversity. I say so because they have a large variety of students from different areas (local, world) and different bakgrounds. It help many feel hopoe that they can feel comfortable here.
I wish I would have realized how much work was going to be involved. I would have definately choosen my class more accordingly to meet my adult schedule.
There is not a type of person that shouldn't attend Harrisburg Area Community College. All people belong here. I'm a 34 year old mom and wife going back and I love it! There are lots of people, all types, all ages!
