Great campus that has friendly staff, faculty, and students. Wide variety of academic classes. Very active student government. There are extra-curricular activities and events that staff, faculty, and students all participate in. A lot of free workshops are available that help with managing time, test-taking strategies, etc.
I have waited several years to return to the classroom (I am one of those "old" students at 43 years old) and this has been an incomparable experience so far. I have been incredibly fortunate with the professors that I have had so far. I have benefited from their vast knowledge and experience. While I am an antique compared to most of the other students, I have never been made to feel like a fossil. The campus is well taken care of. They are always putting on some kind of student friendly events. I try to attend each and every one of these. I take pride in being a Hawaii Warrior.
I love this school, its a convenient place to go to, plus its where I can go to school at. I love where the school is located. Plus meeting my classmates from high school. Its a place where everybody can get along with. Nobody is left behind. Everybody is treated like family.
Friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming and open. You are like family; everyone knows each other. Academics are superb. You learn a lot, and the majority of the classes are hands-on. I definitely would recommend Hawaii Community College to anyone who wants to start their higher education goals.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Hawaii Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would encourage myself to seek part-time employment to help with expenses, because college is expensive and you are not guarented a scholarship or financial aid. However, I would suggest that you do apply for as many scholarships that you are eligible for and to also apply for financial aid, as soon as possible. Also, there are several student loan programs available for those who do not qualify for financial aid. Although you are given freedom to make your own choices, always be deligant with your homework assignments and always refer back to your syllabus for due dates and instructions.
What's unique about my school is that it's very hands-on and the teachers are always there to help you whenever you need the help. It's a school that has alot of friendly people, so can make new friends fast.
Hawaii Community College is close to home and located in the central part of town. There is free parking and the school its self is affordable. The staff at the college is kind, helpful and more compassionate than larger schools. The counselors have been very accessable and helpful, even during the stressful days of enrollment.
I consider the building as the worst thing about my school. It looks and is very old. The building is also very small which is why many of the students have to drive to the university to attend some of their community college classes.
People that should attend a community college are those who would like to get prepared before entering a University. A community college is also for those students who want to get a degree in a major that is not available at the University.
i think that everyone could attend this school. but if you are the kind of person that is rude and there only to better themselves i dont feel that this campus is for you. also if you arent serious about college this campus is also not for you.
I usually brag about how well I'm doing in school and how all my classes are very easy for me. I brag about having fun in school and my experiences.
There is not enough parking in the parking lots. The students have to park on the side of the roads or restricted areas outside the school grounds. And the parking tickets are fifteen dollars or more. There is not enough food vendors on the campus.
