The overall experience that I had, including academics and social life.
Of course the name HOWARD is braging all in its self but about the degree of education you recieve ther. The wonderful clubs organizations and opportunities to meet really great famous people. The party scene isn't that bad either.
I tell others that school feels as if I never left home considering I grew up in a big city. There is so much to do but leaves each person with choices to do many things. With that being said, you eventually learn to make proper decisions that affect your future. Going to Howard gives you the opportunity to transition from dependency to independency. You will learn to be your own person and learn to make sacrifices that you can apprecitate and be grateful for.
I tell them about the benefits of being at a school where you see your own ethnic group succeeding.
I tell them that it is a great cultural experience with a lot of opportunities. It is a great enviroment to see ethnic people thrive and grow.
The reputation of this institution is known across the nation.
How exciting homecoming is and the type of education I am receiving from the School of Communications.
I tend to brag about the family aspect that you get here at Howard, and the very diverse surroundings, I also brag about the culture and knowldge here at Howard we have a lot of very intellectual and innovative students here.
I mostly brag about the sense of unity here. Also, since I attend an HBCU (Historically Black College-University) I like to brag about how wonderful it is to see so many young black people trying to make something of themselves and better themselves.
How our business school is ranked among the top schools.
I always brag about how all of my professors are professionals in their fields. Every journalism teacher that I have had has had at least 20 years of experience as either a broadcast or print journalist. They have also occupied senior positions as well and have a lot to offer students training for these same positions post graduation. I love the quality of education that I receive here, and I always brag to my family and friends about how much I am learning.
The sense of community that I've found at Howard among fellow students and professors. There is a dynamic Christian community here and the professors are some of the most kind, engaging and personable in the nation I'm sure.
That it is a historically Black college! The fact that my college is known nation wide and how proud I am to walk the halls of so many legends before me!
When I brag about my school, I always tell my friends about Howard being "the real HU" because we have a rival with Hampton university because they claim to be "the real HU", but they were called Hampton Institute before they changed it to a university. Meanwhile, Howard was always called Howard University. I also brag about Howard being the "black Harvard" and about our homecoming every year. Our homecoming is the biggest event that happens throughout the school year, and people from all states come just to get a taste of the the Howard experience.
social events
