What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Kiara

The most frustrating thing would have to be the process of registering for classes and housing. It is like a competition for everything. If you are not an upperclassman, you may not receive the much needed classes. Also, if you don't have enough RSVP points (earned by joining clubs and organizations) then you will pick housing last, if anything is left. But on-campus housing is limited anyway.

The most frustrating thing about my school is the fact the the administration and its members are not 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} willing to try to do anything that they can to help students in their time of need (i.e. financial aid, registration, etc). I feel as though they are unorganized and sometimes even nonchalant about the requests of the students. They prefer to give students the "run-around" in some situations which has definitely caused mental and sometimes physical distress.

there is no financial aid or housing

I'M FRUSTRATED BECAUSE MY ENTRIRE YEAR IS PAID FOR, BUT I HAVE A BACK BALANCE FROM FALL 07. I AM PAYING FOR COLLEGE ALONE AND DID NOT GET ENOUGH FINANCIAL AID LAST YEAR. I NEED A PLAN TO BE ABLE TO PAY MY BALANCE OFF AND STILL BE ABLE TO BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL.

The administartion building needs to get more organized when it comes to keeping student files. They don't know what the hell they are doing sometimes

The most frustrating thing about Howard University is financial aid. I know that almost all students will have their individual problems about financial situations, but I wish they were nicer about it. I am sitting in my dorm room right now for another defeated day with financial aid and I have no idea how I will get the money to stay here, but I just wake up in the morning and try again hoping that maybe something good will come through because even though I am a dependent the parents just dont want to help.

Before getting help administration usually gives you the run-around instead of helping you with your problems and they don't give you the information that you need well in advance so that you don't miss deadlines. The school isn't close by any large discount stores such as Wal-Mart.

Other than housing at the moment, I do not find anything frustrating at Howard that I have not already built immunity to from dealing with in a life situation. I am positive that if asked, anyone else at Howard would say financial aid and other departments in our administration building (or as we call it, the ?dreaded A-building?), but I have been prepared, learning from their mistakes as well as some of my own, and things have gone pretty smooth thus far.

There are so many people who get too caught up in the social scene.

The most frustrating thing at my school is the race for things. For example the race to enroll in classes that you need and the race to get on campus housing. When it comes to enrolling for classes the upper classmen get to chose days before everypne else living us barely any room in the classroom. Most of the time people have to keep checking back in order to see if anyone has dropped out of any of the classes that they need.
