I am finishing up my senior year at college and still have not attended a stereotypical "college party." The parties don't appeal to me. However, I have gone to "get togethers" with friends, and there was drinking, but I never participated with drinking until I had turned 21. If you find the right crowd to hang out with, and they respect you, you'll have no problem going to parties.
It might be an adjustment at first, but I don't think it will be hard at all. Drinking is totally up to you. Stick to what you want to do, and most importantly, what you don't want to do. There is more to a party than just drinking!
