What I consider the worst thing about my school is that the students lack school spirit and school pride. The students sort of feel ashamed for having to attend a community college in order to transfer to a 4 year institution when they shouldn't feel ashamed. They should feel proud of themselves to make the effort to transfer and get an education that will lead them to a better life in the future.
I believe that the worst thing about Imperial Valley College is that there aren't enough computers for students to do their work. Some students come from a poor financial background and don't have the money to purchase a computer or laptop. The libraries nearby allow anyone in the community access to a computer with a maximum limit of one hour per day. One hour is not enough to complete all homework assignments. Also, the time that they open the computer rooms are when classes begin and students are forced to be late so.
The worst thing about my school is the book store. Instructors and students are always complaining that they never order enough textbooks. Instructors get annoyed, but the students are the ones that have to deal with the problem. If a student orders a textbook it takes about 3 weeks or even longer to come in. By the time the textbooks arrive half of the semester has passed by.
